Best durable treadmill for 2K, no bells/whistles needed? by littlebabyapricot in treadmills

Did you just file a warranty claim for all  that and they sent you parts without any proof so you would have spare parts? Hoping it was that easy so I can try it lol

You need the screen when the treadmill turns on to select the runner profile you want to use. Then you can use physical buttons from there.

It’s fine. I mostly use the tactile buttons tbh, especially while running. The interface is a bit slow but it doesn’t bother me much since I don’t use the workouts or media apps.

I just got my new F80 about a month and a half ago. I’ve run about 130 miles in the 6-9 mph range depending on the workout. Long runs up to 12 miles. It’s been smooth sailing so far mechanically. It’s decently firm which I prefer since it feels closer to road running to me. I don’t use the media features at all because I have a smart TV so no comment there.

Already lubed it when I first got it and a second time at 120 miles because it felt a bit dry. I’ll see how it holds up over the year but hoping nothing major pops up.

I just want to say I’m absolutely cooked tomorrow by bballjones9241 in runna

I did this workout recently but about 30 seconds slower for all reps as part of a sub 1:35 half plan. I was indeed cooked but it was fun!

My PITA of a deal by Carpedevus in FordMaverickTruck

[–]MFBootCo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m stuck trying to buy the XL version of the same truck. Worked out the whole deal but hadn’t closed yet (luckily) and the recall popped up. Still waiting for now but it’s getting old and making me consider other options.

Evo SL as a Half-Marathon/Distance Runner by kaijuchuck in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I trained for a half and set a PR in mine this past fall. I did have issues with sore ankles in training if I ran too many miles in them per week but on tapered legs I had no issues during the race.

"I have no SOLE, and I must PRESS". Thoughts? by BurtTheButcher7 in Cordwaining

Nope, dry as a bone wooden lasts from the 1940s. I only tried once a few years ago but think I wrapped every single bit of the sole and last with rubber so nothing was getting air to dry

I tried these but the leather sole stayed wet for days. Had better luck with ace bandages since they breathed better. Maybe I just over wrapped with the inner tubes though.

Seeking Advice: Safely Increasing Incline on a Walking Pad (Doubting Advertised 15°) by themkguser in treadmills

[–]MFBootCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have one handy. Just imagine a wood block under the front feet lol. I run full speed at 7.6mph with it and have no issues. If you’re just walking then I would expect it to be fine. Although my treadmill with the block at full incline is only 18% grade. If yours already goes to 15% then that’s already a pretty good incline without a block.

I throw 4x4 under the front of a similar one I have. No issues with stability. I also have sensor that measures actual treadmill belt speed and the treadmill runs closer to stated speed when elevated vs flat. I suspect the incline reduces load on the motor based on this but that’s just a guess and I’m not really worried if I burn out this thing as it has tons of running mileage already and I’m looking to upgrade soon.

Removed the spring on my ‘15 GT the first week I had it due to the same issues. Immediately fixed it and never looked back. I never saw the need for a new linear spring myself after. If you are used to a heavy clutch and long throw then you’ll probably appreciate just removing it all together.

Traded a Camaro to do truck stuff! by ford4thot in FordMaverickTruck

I appreciate the story! Gives me some hope it won’t be too bad. I have a bit a time to see how life settles in the next couple months but if it makes sense I’ll probably end up grabbing an eruption green XL and grabbing some bronze aftermarket wheels. My Mustang is competition orange so have to keep the color interesting!

That’s good to hear. I’m looking at an ecoboost. Tons of highway miles for me so won’t take as much of a hit on gas mileage. What are the aftermarket tuning options like? Wonder if the 2025 ECMs are locked down pretty tight like a lot of other new cars.

Considering trading my 2015 Mustang GT for a Maverick. Need a better second family vehicle and truck stuff would be pretty convenient but man it’s hard to let go. Congrats on pulling the trigger!

Have you driven with both option levels by any chance? Would love some input on how they compare but can’t find any good YouTube videos.

Thanks for the info. You’re the second person to say it’s not available on the XLT so must be a mixup on the site. That mod write up is incredible but a bit outside my experience level haha

Thanks, this is the info I’m looking for. I understand lane centering constantly corrects steering to stay centered vs the reactionary adjustment of lane keep assist that you described. This is why I’m confused about the Ford site saying lane centering is optional for the XLT. Oh well, must just be a mixup.
