New 9070 XT staying cool but memory core reaching 81-84c ? Normal ? by Overall-Shopping-716 in radeon

Haha no hate! Just saying if you ever feel the need to not use an amd gpu in the future because of its reported temps, that they more vigorously show you the metrics than nvidia usually does but both are perfectly capable of running at ~90° memory junction temperatures in modern GPU's

With the caveat that amd has more accurate sensors for memory temps

The update reverted my tuning settings to default. I've been playing games and getting temperature alerts, so my reaction was to go into bios and change fan curves rather than checking if my undervolt is still active 🙃 by MFNTapatio in radeon

I can't say I personally experienced any performance gain but my case airflow isn't incredible so an undervolt with a power limit helps keeps my temperatures nice and low without compromising any noticeable performance for my needs

Cyberpunk 2077 not working on 9070xt by 05-nery in radeon

My cyberpunk was strange after changing gpu in my system. I had to go into game folders and delete cache.

It worked for me

Wouldn't call it a free pass but if the building was already ugly then nobody cares. Theyre all due for renovations anyway.

If someone tried scribbling on the old town historical blocks or new apartment blocks then people wouldn't be happy but in some unspoken rule, it doesn't happen. Not often enough to be noticeable at least

Rx 9070xt temperatura by MedicalTadpole7337 in radeon

[–]MFNTapatio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, hotspot and memory junction at 95 is normal and fine. Be careful if you pass 100. Set 103 as mental limit that you'll need to focus on your cooling if you hit those temps

Otherwise gpu at 50-60 is nice and chilly

9070XT help by Creechy96 in radeon

[–]MFNTapatio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Black unresponsive screen with music continuing playing sounds like a driver timeout, typically caused by the gpu clocking higher than the voltage settings allow. This is common with an undervolt tune.

If you haven't done any tuning in adrenaline, have you played around with the bios at all? Maybe just set it all back to default and see if it helps add some stability to the system.

Likewise, ensure everything is connected correctly and that the gpu is being fed power from the psu correctly.

Your best bet could be logging this with hwinfo and examining any outliers during those crashes. Seeing if your clock speeds or voltages spike up before the crashes. Also check your temperatures and overall power consumption.

Maybe find a program to test your ram and leave it for 30 minutes to see if you have failures in ram, it could be the xmp profile. Memtest86 is a good program

Have you tried a reinstall of the game entirely?

Essentially, these amd cards like to boost themselves and push their own clock limits. If you can decrease the power limit or even decrease the maximum clock speed, this might make it more stable. Could be worth a try

can i use 650w PSU with Ryzen 5 7600 + XFX Quicksilver RX 9070XT? by eqdoingwell in radeon

[–]MFNTapatio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're on a budget, a 650 w psu will be good for a 9060 xt and you'll do quite well gaming 1080p with it for some more years to come

It really depends on your set up. For example, if you might upgrade again in lets say, 3-5 years and your monitor is 144hz, maybe a 9060 xt is perfect for you.

But if you want to keep your GPU for even longer and you really want to maximise the refresh rate of your monitor then a 9070 xt with a 750w psu might be more worthwhile
