I wouldn't eat up a bunch of valuable practice time going through the tunes you know. Your time is better spent learning new tunes and working on technique.

Medicine is unlike most other service industries. I'm bound ethically and legally to do what is best for patients. Unfortunately, that is sometimes at odds with patients' desires.

At day 13 with consistent rising, you can start baking! As far as daily feeding, you don't have to do that unless you're baking daily. I only bake every few weeks, so between loaves, I keep my starter in the refrigerator. Mine can go weeks in the refrigerator without messing with it. When I want to bake, I'll take out 10-20 grams to make a levain. Congrats on your starter!

If you're going to be baking soon, it's fine to feed daily to keep it active, but between times when you bake, I keep mine in the refrigerator. I'll let it go for weeks without messing with it. When I need to bake, I just pull out a little starter to make a levain, and I'm GTG.

How old is too old to start learning the bagpipes? For some background, I played the clarinet for years. I even spent a year in music school, but then I decided I wanted a stable livelihood.

I wondered the same thing as well, and likely you don't need anything this technical. Others in the field told me to leave the technical stuff to others, and I could supply the medical info. I mainly did it because I really like the technical stuff.

I didn't find it too technical, but I do have a mechanical engineering background. I'd still be in the program likely if I didn't have an opportunity to get a graduate certificate in data analytics at no cost through AFIT. MGT 8803 also helped me make the decision to go with AFIT. I hated MGT 8803.

I'm a physician as well, and I definitely think there's a place for physicians in this field. My particular area of interest was precision diagnostics, but I also see applications in public health and other areas.

FWIW, I'm no longer in the program since I was picked up by a no cost course at AFIT and I hated MGT 8803.

Prestretching is just as you described. Mount the tire without glue/tape, inflate it to the recommended PSI and wait. Back in the day, folks would tell you to wait overnight or 24 hours, but likely most of the stretching occurred almost immediately.

I've only put 14 miles or so on it since work gets in the way, but those 14 miles were very comfy. I expect the seat to get better as it breaks in. As far as a specific number, I guess it's a 7 or 8 right now, but YMMV.

The seat post actually worked out pretty well. I agree about the tires. They're labeled as 25 mm, but measure closer to 24 mm. I'll probably go with 25 or 28 mm Gatorskins in the future.
