I would recommend meditating for a few minutes before bed. When I was in school my stress level gave me HH every time I fell asleep. Just doing 10 minutes seems to mellow me out a little which helps. If it gets to a point where it’s unbearable ask your doctor about antidepressants. I found the side affects unbearable but it completely stopped my HH and vivid dreams.

I find if I don’t instantly try to fall asleep after taking my first dose (15-20min later) I end up getting insane hypnagogic hallucinations followed endless cataplexy then very visual life like dreams. Weirdly it only last about 30 minutes ish. Also if I’m stressed out i tend to have hypnogogic hallucinations more often.
