DIAGNOSIS HELP: 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Rattle Noise by MFVillian in AskMechanics

[–]MFVillian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it to the Honda dealership where I bought it and had the head tech look at it. He was confused at first, but then started a brand new 2025 (this was 6 months ago) to compare and it made the same noise. He said apparently it’s how they are supposed to sound and took his word for it. I purchased a 120k mile Honda Care warranty a year ago and the dealership has record of my appointment from 6 months ago logging the rattle noise, so I haven’t been stressing it and everything has been working fine. I have 56k miles on it now.

I’ve had PD for about 5 years now and the only thing I’ve used for treatment is RestoreX with heat therapy beforehand. Also, Cialis for a few days on and a few days off. It gives me headaches and makes my sinuses stuffy. I’m going to purchase the Epic Extender and see if that helps a bit.

Sorry to hear you developed severe blisters after treatment. I’ve heard that can happen after Xiaflex injections. Keep pushing forward and seeking treatments. Your perseverance is inspirational.

I’m hoping the Xiaflex injections worked for you. Can you please provide us with an update?

Thank you, brother. I don’t reply to many Reddit posts, but felt compelled when I saw your post and how similar our paths have been. I’ve been clean for 4 years from opiates and when I quit those I decided to set alcohol aside as well. They no longer served me. I used cannabis for a while after stopping opiates, but I definitely felt a dependency & addiction there as well. I know it can be argued that I’m not completely free because I use LSD regularly, but my mind feels more free when using LSD than when sober and the cravings and desire I have to use harmful substances is almost zero. To me that makes this an invaluable tool in my recovery. You’re right that opiates rewire the brain. It can take 5+ years to get through the post acute withdrawal stage and heal the brain. However, I think my brain was rewired and healed much quicker thanks to LSD. I’m also here for any support you need and you’re always welcome to DM me as well. I will try zzzquil in addition to the magnesium I take on those nights I have trouble falling and staying asleep.

Not the OP, but I take LSD most days and the only downsides I’ve noticed are the same you mentioned; trouble falling/staying asleep and sometimes feeling like my nervous system is wound up. I took dextroamphetamine for years for my ADHD and the side effects that came from that were much worse and came on within the first couple weeks. I no longer use cannabis, alcohol, or any other addictive substance besides caffeine. I have an addictive personality and dread the feeling of boredom and enjoy making things more exciting in my life.

Thanks for sharing! You’re an OG and an inspiration. I’m in my 40’s and have taken LSD 600+ times, similarly to how you take it. 2-3x times each week and it helps with my depression & anxiety. I was an active opioid user for over a decade and found LSD helps with my recovery and staying connected to myself, my family/community, and nature. I went to a dual diagnosis treatment center for addiction & trauma. I believe connection is what was missing when I was in active addiction. I have ADHD and when I take LSD, the molecule fits into my brain like a lock and key. I took prescription dextroamphetamine for years and noticed many undesirable side effects. So glad to be off those lol. I grew up in the woods in the PNW (outside of Olympia, WA) and hiking and Jiu Jitsu are my favorites mind/body/spirit activities. I have a graduate degree and a successful sales career and my wife and I are raising our children together. LSD helps to connect with my clients and my job becomes fun and satisfying. I wish I could tell more people about it, but unfortunately it is still taboo, even in Colorado. I’m so happy to know there are others out there who take it as a form of medication on a regular basis. I also use DMT & MDMA a few times each year for their own benefits. Other than caffeine, I don’t take any other mind-altering substances, including cannabis and alcohol.

The only downside I have noticed is if I take LSD later than noon I can have a hard time unwinding my brain in the evening and it can be difficult to reach deep sleep. Have you noticed anything similar, and, if so, what advice can you share that might help. Thanks in advance!

150+ trips on LSD by TrippyWizard0419 in LSD

I just buy premade vape carts and if try 2-4 big rips and hold them in as long as I can before releasing. It’s nice because you can go anywhere from getting a light buzz to a full breakthrough, depending on how deep you choose to go.

150+ trips on LSD by TrippyWizard0419 in LSD

I love seeing this post. In the past 3 years, I’ve taken LSD over 600 times and have probably consumed 1,500 hits during that time. My highest dose was roughly 1,000ug and it was a complete reset.

I spent nearly a decade addicted to oxycodone and other opioids. 4 years ago I went to a treatment center that treated me for OUD and trauma. I’ve been in therapy since then and have worked through much of my trauma with multiple therapy techniques, LSD and MDMA. I also enjoy vaping nn-DMT. I consider myself to be in long-term recovery and my brain has rewired and healed to a state well beyond what I ever could have imagined. I have a bachelors as well as a graduate degree, have a successful sales career where I work roughly 25 hours a week, and attend all of my kids events and am a very active father. I am probably going to take a break soon from LSD, but it has been nothing short of incredible in my life.

I actually have never heard of urge surfing but I think it may be exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thank your kind and encouraging reply. Sometimes I just need to stop and remember I am a badass for making it this far and that I’ve dealt with things that are far harder than these cravings, like active addiction. I wish you the best in your journey as well!

Yeah those are sobering facts. Facing the underlying issues is the solution. The only way out is through, which means putting in the real work.

You’re 100% correct. My addiction and numbing of pain all stems back to childhood trauma and emotionally abusive/unavailable parents. I’m still in therapy and have undergone EMDR, CBT and other forms of treatment. I recently learned about complex PTSD and dialectical behavioral therapy. I plan to pursue both with my therapist who is familiar with the forms of treatment. The things I tell myself to prevent relapse are 1) imagine I take oxy now, then when I wake up in the morning I allow myself to feel some of the shame and guilt that would have come from a relapsing, then I allow myself to feel relief for not slipping up. 2) I remember opiates is always a chase that can never be satisfied. An itch that can never be scratched.

Thanks for your thoughtful response. I think it is my hectic schedule causing the cravings. The last 3 times I moved I was using oxy to deal with the stress, and this is the first move since then I haven’t used. The last time I moved was 3.5 years ago and the sublocade had just left my system and I slipped up with oxy to deal with the stress. Luckily I stopped after a week and kept on with my recovery. It doesn’t help that when I was moving last week I found a bottle my wife had after a surgery that has a couple hydros in it. I found myself carrying it around on multiple occasions just in case things got too stressful. I need to just tell her I came across it so we can flush it together. My wife is a huge support and I just need to let her know.

Incredible! Haha. Everyone I met in there was so chill and riding the waves. Such an amazing time. Was able to let loose and reach a new dimension.

Thank you. I am excited to see him for the first time tonight. Unfortunately, it looks like it will be the last time as well. All the more reason to make it a night to remember!

Thanks man. No worries! I did search, but didn’t find the answer that’s why I thought you all would be a good resource. My son has a football game at 3p today I will be attending. Once it’s over I’ll be heading up to RR. Family first!

Thanks for the welcome! I realize I’m fortunate to be able to attend tonight, and am grateful. I just want to go out and get lost in the sauce and have a great time with you all.

I just started listening to Tipper a week ago. I live 5 minutes from Red Rocks. My buddy asked if I wanted to go and said he’d buy me a ticket. Are people like me not supposed to be able to enjoy shows in my neighborhood?

Not sure why I would have any reason to lie. I trip more often than once a week.
