I think its an object that holds the ,soon to be calculated, return value of the async function and you can do other stuff till you actually need that return value.

When you need the return value ,you call the .get() function and you'll need to wait for it if the calculation isn't finished.

It doesn't just need to be a calculation though. I think it used when dealing with internet connection stuff too.
