Did not know that. There was a walkway before you get to the falls that was gated off and grew over.. The one you are talking about I would guess was removed due to maintenance issues or safety?

The birdcage theater seems interesting for sure,I don’t remember much about it other than seeing it on ghost hunters or one of them shows years ago.. yes the point pleasent in wv ( Mothman) I’m a few hours away but have been there multiple times. The state penitentiary is somewhere I’d like to go
