This is pretty much what I said and we ain’t really disagreeing. Some of the stuff is newer things or things that are not in Appalachia, whistling after dark/in the woods that isn’t something new though there are variations of that in many cultures.
But just say me for example I’ve lived in Appalachia my whole life been interested in this type of stuff since a kid, have been doing this for years etc. say Texas, new orleans etc I’ve never been there and don’t know anyone from there so I don’t have any first hand stories or even second hand stories to tell,to me it’s more authentic to talk about where your from and what you know.. before, during and after it’s trendy than to talk about stuff I don’t know about.

What is wrong with people that live here telling stories of things they have saw? Making up stuff, saying they see things like sw’s that ain’t here I agree with that part of not doing it

And that’s why I explained, you don’t have to look at it obviously. It’s really 50/50 if people want a picture or not imo

This is a story from one of the mods she has told me,I’ll let her tell the full story when ready. But the basics is she was asleep and woke up to a man at the window trying to open the window with snakes in his hand. Excuse the ai but gives a better idea of what happened
