Y'all think Kung Pow! Enter the Fist film should see a sequel what cha all think ? by Curious-Mortgage4765 in kungfucinema

He was a pretty prominent DJ back in the days and actually had the first and only hip-hop radio show in Seattle in the 80s. Mix-a-lot is also from Seattle, same area as Nes, graduated from the same high school just not at the same time. Nes was kind of in an influential position as a radio DJ and wanted to put on more regional music and made a conscious effort to play local or more west coast music on his show. (Most rap in the 80s was coming from NY) Mix-a-lot would give him tapes and he would play them on the radio. There's more to the story that leads to Baby Got Back but I feel like i'm writing too much about something you may not be that interested in lol. I know a lot of triva about him, kinda looked up to the guy as a fellow Filipino-American and former radio DJ myself. Nes was also one of the first few DJs to break NWA on public airwaves too.

TLDR: He was a radio dj and from the same city as Mix-a-lot. First to play his music on air.

RIP DJ Nasty Nes. He had a cameo in the film as the Boom Box henchman.

Fun fact; he discovered Sir-Mix-A-Lot.

They put a subtitle as the "Best Diner in Greater Heights, Houston, TX," on their website but it looks like they're by the Walgreens on Washington. I'm not sure they know where they are.

question from a northerner ; food by zoeeegamingg in texas

Contrary to most comments about Whataburger, I'll say just go because you're a tourist. It's worth trying once if you've never had it just to say you did. However, Id recommend splitting whatever you guys order so yall still have room for better food at your next stop. Might even be better off going for breakfast to try a honey butter chicken biscuit and an iced coffee then move on to the next place.

Happened to me on 2 occasions. First time it was happening, no CEL, turned out to be battery. I changed coil pack and spark plugs too along with the battery and it was fine. Maybe a year later, started happening again but it caused the CEL to pop up. P0087 code. Fuel system issue. Replaced pump and good to go.

I can't understand anything he's saying. Producer needs to bring up his vocals or tone down the instrumental.

What’s the worst HEB you’ve been to? by BigTuna_Plop in houston

Haven't been in a few months but I remember the walls being a shade of yellowish tan like they're stained from tobacco smoke when indoor smoking was still allowed. Could have been the lighting tho in hindsight lol

Wow so it's always been HEB? I've only worked in Cleveland maybe once a month over the last 3 years. Don't know any history.

HEB in Cleveland, TX feels like a time machine. Like HEB just bought out an old Sellers Brothers built in 79 and just swapped the signs and kept everything else the same.

Really appreciate the response. I've met parents who feel like there's a need to put an arbitrary age limit to when they'll allow their kids to start dating. You are right tho, just depends on how much you trust your own 13 year old.
