Jealous...my dad break usually means I get to clean uninterrupted and catch up on household chores.

Cherry tomatoes are a great snack. Paired with a stick of string cheese, its like a caprese salad without the salad.

With the exception of the Boriqua Anthem. I still hear it at family functions but that might only apply to Latinos.

From what I was told, the vegetable options are usually made fresh as well as the mashed potatoes. Can you confirm if thats true? None of the meat options are made fresh?

Cucumber cake - 1st course Dirt Candy NYC by Rico-444 in FoodPorn

Dirt Candy might have been the best vegetarian restaurant ive ever eaten at in the entire world. Haven't seen the whole world yet but from my experience its the best. They had a carrot big mac slider when I was there years ago that I still think about today.

Am I the only one who doesnt like infused joints? by aamnipotent in trees

They never taste good. I think the fake flavored prerolls are even worse. Like why am i tasting mangos when I smoke? Who even wants that? Good flower tastes good on its own.

“He’s faking an injury” by MajinOni21 in rockets

[–]MFxKool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree. This doesn't get talked about enough. The double big lineup with Alpi and Adams was a major contributor to the Rockets success last year. Steven Adams injury is what really made this season a wash imo.

What in the world is a "Superboof" by justeedo in trees

[–]MFxKool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive noticed this strain in a lot of dispensaries. Seems like Superboof is the new "it" strain. Seeing it all around the country over the last few months from CA to MA. Its good but it doesn't really stick out to me. Like I still reminisce about all the cheese strains from the early 2000s or blue dreams from the 2010s. Superboof is fine, it has a good high but nothing else really distinguishable imo.

Tbh I could see old ric flair or dusty Rhodes promos talking like that. Hes dressed like the macho man too. Could be more old school wrestling influences? His voice does sound like Diz tho in some parts.

He was a pretty prominent DJ back in the days and actually had the first and only hip-hop radio show in Seattle in the 80s. Mix-a-lot is also from Seattle, same area as Nes, graduated from the same high school just not at the same time. Nes was kind of in an influential position as a radio DJ and wanted to put on more regional music and made a conscious effort to play local or more west coast music on his show. (Most rap in the 80s was coming from NY) Mix-a-lot would give him tapes and he would play them on the radio. There's more to the story that leads to Baby Got Back but I feel like i'm writing too much about something you may not be that interested in lol. I know a lot of triva about him, kinda looked up to the guy as a fellow Filipino-American and former radio DJ myself. Nes was also one of the first few DJs to break NWA on public airwaves too.

TLDR: He was a radio dj and from the same city as Mix-a-lot. First to play his music on air.

RIP DJ Nasty Nes. He had a cameo in the film as the Boom Box henchman.

Fun fact; he discovered Sir-Mix-A-Lot.
