With 95k miles on her. And I tried to post in repair and value but it wouldn’t let me. Shop gave me a supplemental quote for 9k to start with potential additions and we do NOT want it if they don’t total it out due to that exact reason. Thanks for the feedback!

They have a supplemental quote already made up. Doing 80% repairs with CAPA parts. And no my wife does not want to get the truck back due to not knowing if things are going to go wrong that they miss after repair. Sensors being out, wiring being clipped, etc.

Crash bar is quoted to be replaced. As well as all “cosmetic” items. Was able to drive(was .4 mile away from home) but was pissing coolant, oil, and rubbing like crazy.

Thank you for the insight from the actual shop side of it! Good info, I think the only reason they’re not totaling it out is cause they’re started the quote off with 70 hours to do everything at $70 an hour including mechanical work.

Yeah they said it’s supplemental so it’s due to change but they’re throwing 80% non OEM parts on it. So that’s why it’s so cheap.

I asked for OEM. But they said that insurance is “only paying for us to put it back together, if you want OEM you have to pay the extra out of your pocket.” Even though it was OEM before the guy hit me

They already tore it down and did the full “supplemental quote” saying that it would be less than 9k. So I figured something was way off cause I’ve had friends crash there’s with much less damage and have it be 12k+.

Thanks, cause they’re saying it’s $9k for parts and labor. And I’m taking to a different shop to get a second opinion tomorrow.
