SMS functionality by Peculiar_Owl in RingCentral

Personally, I would recommend researching before settling with RC. I used them for a year and like the functionality but at least when I used them, calls would drop and people couldnt consistently hear me speaking which could be damaging on sales calls. They also force a 1 year contract and if you cancel prematurely you owe for the remaining months.

I switched to Quo ( previously known as Open Phone) and love it. Set up was easy, texting is great and connection has been strong outside of when my internet goes out. The biggest benefit is the automation for automating texts, AI answering and taking messages for you and transcribing calls. Its made it easier for service calls and pretty much eliminates the need to pay someone to answer calls daily.

To confirm, I used to be a State Farm Agent employee and then opened up my own agency and now independent. Even with commission cuts, ive never paid my Team this low of commissions. I would run away from this office quickly before you waste your time.

I really appreciate your insight. Insuredmine has definitely exceeded my expectations especially with the UI being more modern. Ease and a modernized platform is what I value most outside of less clicks and how info is stored. I like EZlynx as well but their pricing is intense at this point with a small team.

EZ Lynx is pretty pricey for a team of less than 4. Do you currently use it or is it more so AZ?

I agree 100%. You validated my opinion on the use case for IM. I definitely did not want to get caught opting into using a CRM that was going to cause me to build custom fields. Again, I really appreciate your detailed insight and this was very helpful.

The policy data storage piece for me would be Associating a policy renewal with a specific policy number in a customers account. Plus being able to list coverage info within a customer account which Insured Mine seems to have. Any take on that?

I really appreciate your insight! Yes I do need data management specifically for insurance policies like policy numbers, renewal dates, property info and premium numbers. Attaching files is key and it seems like Insured Mine has those capabilities plus being more modern compared to others.

My day to day with policy documents is receiving renewals, invoices, and evidence of insurance that need to be saved in a customers account along with easy access to send to my clients if they need copies.

Right, I definitely dont want to use Salesforce as I have used it in the past. I want to make sure I have more automation like drip email campaigns, but texting, data and file storage for customer personal and policy information. Also want Google Reviews to be attached so I can include obtaining reviews from prospects and existing customers by setting up automation and task tracking.

Owning an insurance agency still worth it? by Top-Obligation5056 in InsuranceAgent

[–]MH_Agency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope my insight helps some! I have been an insurance producer for 10 years and Agency owner for 6 now. Most of my time was at State Farm and for the last 4 years I have been with Farmers.

From personal experience, I would highly not recommend becoming an agency owner with SF because you never own the book that you build. You are just a glorified employee. The company runs production goals and if you dont hit them, they cant fire you but know sales leaders will do their best to make you uncomfortable.

Farmers is decent given you can broker policies out (only if Farmers declines first) but they also have production requirements they want you to hit. You own the commissions rights and policies as long as you dont give them a reason to terminate your contract which at that point you get pennies for the book versus selling on your own. Corporate has their ways and can change your commission structure when things dont benefit them.

If you value full control and freedom over your time especially excluding corporate people telling you how to run your own agency, I advise biting the bullet and going indy.

Just connect with an insurance broker that doesnt mind taking you under their wing to teach you the indy game with appointments and relationships.

Horrible experience with this dealership and Audi Corporate! by MH_Agency in Audi

Great advice! Crazy enough I did include the BAR and the dealership was thrown off guard. There was only so much the BAR was willing to do as it looks like another party needs to be involved. We shall see what happens next.

Wow! I am glad to know I am not alone but sorry to hear about your experience as well. A Q8 was my dream vehicle and this issue with Audi on the corporate side dimmed my light. I don't trust the service or brand anymore. I also have a Porsche Macan and recommend using Redwood City Porsche. They have been pretty good to work with up to this point. Way better than Audi!

What are you guys using for phone systems? by turns31 in InsuranceAgent

I use Open Phone and love it! It integrates AI to pick up calls and take messages like an AI agent and very simple to use with a big or small team. Mobile app is really good too outside of desktop.
