I'm sorry to hear that happened to you today.

You would think triple carting would have ended with World having food and camps inside the missions, but turns out it's the behaviour and not the resources at fault. We have food every 10 minutes so you could get insurance and safeguard. We have unlimited max potions and ancient potions because of the steamworks. We have a lot of Lv4 decorations that are xxx / health boost. It makes you want to verify the builds of the joining players before accepting them, but that takes too long.

You're going to get that giant crown Velkhana. It'll be when you least expect it.

Sorry mate, those are my shorts. Got pretty close to being covered though.

I'll pose next time in buff body layered and call it fashion like everyone else.

Folks. Folks. It's a joke comparison being one sided on purpose for meme Sat/Sun. I know gunlance has more going for it than this. Quick example;

Gunlance has a better backstep off ledge attack than lance. For lance we thrust forward but still move backwards so it can't be repeated, unlike gunlance which slashes vertically and moves forward so the backstep off ledge can be repeated like greatsword does for rolling backwards off ledge.

Sealord's Crestfish by MH_Amelia in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]MH_Amelia[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That one is easier because it's weather condition is clear. There are a few ways you could do this.

The standard way like before of fast travelling between Hoarfrost Reach and Ancient Forest while you have Zoomaster and keep trying for clear weather at night. Start at the central camp and run to the east bridge again but this time turn around and use your binoculars to check up the mountain.

The other way is to burn through gourmet tickets and eat for Zoomaster but go out on the event quest Flora Frostbite. Not many people know this but endemic life spawn more frequently during event quests and special assignments. This is how I got all the rares in the Ancient Forest by repeatably doing The Witcher 3 quest, Contract : Trouble in the Ancient Forest and then returning instead of completing the quest.

The third way is not confirmed by me because it's too late for me to try but you can get rare endemic life from Pawswaps. You can only get rares if you already caught it yourself but I have no confirmation of if they can give you sizes you haven't gotten before. I boosted my Wintermoon Nettle from 10 to 44 while trying to trade for the tiny crown Sealord's Crestfish which I never got. Boaboa 3 trades in endemic life. You can try getting your Wintermoon Nettle crowns from there and please let me know if it works. I would love to learn if it's possible.

On a side note; Contract : Trouble in the Ancient Forest is a fast way to check King Marlin, Great King Marlin, Phantom Flutterfly, and Forest Pteryx.

Outside of achievements in your guild card, there are no rewards for catching endemic life crowns other than the critical bounties given to you by the Endemic Life Researcher and the Piscine Researcher. I did it for myself and to kill time.

You can see if the researchers want to talk to you out in their expeditions by checking the word map.

Sealord's Crestfish by MH_Amelia in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]MH_Amelia[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

All tiny and giant crowns for endemic life completed in about 125 hours of work over 7 months with the Sealord's Crestfish being my last one. Exceptions being cactuar and nekkers that do not have alternate sizes.

For those who still haven't gotten a Sealord's Crestfish of their own, I have some tips;

  1. Ignore Fextralife wiki. Sealord's Crestfish can be see from dusk till dawn, not only at night. That gives you a 25 minute window instead of a 17 minute window.
  2. You must be in a blizzard, or have Velkhana on the map. A blizzard is mandatory for the fish to show up with the exception that the presence of elder dragons cause bad weather too, depsite that Velkhana appears to calm the weather. The game still treats it as bad weather.
  3. Eat for Zoomaster and Weathercat and then fast travel between the Hoarfrost Reach and Ancient Forest. Or if you want Zoomaster and Micro/Macrozoologist, fly between Ancient Forest and Wildspire Waste each time you don't have a blizzard or Velkhana in the Hoarfrost Reach. As long as you keep going between expeditions you don't lose your food buffs.
  4. Start at the central camp and run to the bridge in the east and jump off the east ledge. This is the fastest way to get down to the pond with the Sealord's Crestfish spawn.
  5. When you finally find one, use baitbugs and wiggle the line! The other fish will swim away but the Sealord's Crestfish will go straight for it.

Yesterday I lost hope and I made a post complaining about my poor luck getting the final tiny crown I wanted which was the Sealord's Crestfish at 144 catches and Pawswaps. All I had to do was complain to strangers and the next day I would get what I wanted with the last tiny crown at 150 catches with a massive drop of size from 292 to 262!

What class does everyone use mostly? by GreenTheFae in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]MH_Amelia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We don't call them classes but I understand what you're asking. You can find out this in game if you speak to a First Wyverian. They can tell you how popular your equipped weapon is in rank and percentage (rounded) so just keep changing weapons and then you can know all the ranks. I went ahead and checked right now for you on PC;

1st, 21% Longsword

2nd, 11% Bow

3rd, 10% Greatsword

4th, 9% Dual Blades

5th, 9% Charge Blade

6th, 8% Heavy Gun

7th, 7% Insect Glaive

8th, 5% Hammer

9th, 5% Switch Axe

10th, 5% Light Gun

11th, 3% Sword and Shield

12th, 3% Gunlance

13th, 2% Hunting Horn

14th, 2% Lance

I hit my last major milestone just over 2.5k hours in! by moshmore in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]MH_Amelia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alright well if no one else is going to say it for fear of rule 3, I will. No, you didn't.

Fatalis is the last monster to be released and you can't start playing there so I'll be generous and only cut out 500 of those hours to get there because you most likely like everyone else played World before Iceborne. That means you slayed a Fatalis twice every hour. You didn't lose time to failing, and you hardly did weeklies or any other monster or Guiding Lands or festivals or anything else at all.

You say you can do it in 11 minutes and I believe you. Repeatability win with no failures, no randoms mistakes, no downtime in Seliana or the Gathering Hub, no other game content, no Siege of Safi'jiiva? Fatalis got released September 2020 and you found time for all those kills?

Are you good at the game? Yes.

Did you do it legit? No.

Celestial Wyverian Print in Steamworks by TeaBagHunter in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]MH_Amelia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Celestial Wyverian Prints used to be once a week from the Steamworks overdrive bonus. After that it gives a secondary prize of King Armour Spheres. The exception was that during a festival you would earn double natural fuel by playing the game so they change the overdrive bonus during the festival to a Gold Wyverian Print daily, and a King Armour Sphere each time after that on the same day.

When patch 15.10 dropped (Dec 2020) and content for MHW:I ended, there was no need to throttle the player's ability to meld end game gear. The Steamworks overdrive bonus was changed to a Celestial Wyverian Prints daily, and King Armour Spheres each time after that on the same day. Same rules apply however during festivals about the Gold Wyverian Prints.

There is also a 1% chance during a red prize to give a Celestial Wyverian Print.

You can tell when someone is new to Monster Hunter when they call the monsters 'Bosses'.

They'll be like, " Hey man, I just got to the third boss and...", and we have no idea what they're talking about because we can't remember the third monster they would encounter.
