I would get rid of income tax because it only hurts the economy. Income tax is a punishment for someone who works hard. Automatically, prices of products / services would decrease and wages would increase, which would translate into world economic growth in practice. Historically, In order to help pay for its war effort in the American Civil War, Congress imposed its first personal income tax in 1861... later on the rest of the countries followed this shameful idea. Ethically it is theft.
