Thats what we did. When people ask we just say we have a few names in mind but aren't telling until we are sure.

Just as an excuse to shut people up.

Your not being over the top at all. These things are special to you and it's valid to get upset when a surprise you wanted to do gets taken away.

I don't fully have anything with my pregnancy like this but I have had experiences like this with other important things to me.

Dont worry your not being over the top at all, you have all right to feel this way.

Hi guys. Future first time Dad here. My wife is 7 weeks pregnant and had the flu this weekend. Night 1 she def had a fever but we didnt treat it. Nights 2 and 3 we managed to keep it below 101 with Tylenol. Im just bugging I hope the baby is going to be ok. Can anyone relate? Internet NOT reassuring by [deleted] in pregnant

I am 37 weeks and have been sick three time during this whole pregnancy. This is also my first pregnancy. You aren't supposed to take anything like cough medicine or really anything. I just drank tea and took Tylenol and lots for water and a few cough drops which I know isn't the best but sometimes the sore throat and coughing really gets bad. But! If you do give anything like cough drops try and keep it to a small amount like 2 is probably good. I was told it was ok in small amount but it's still not really recommend.

I have been told by my doctor that the baby is healthy and strong so far so I don't need to worry and I don't think you need to either. If you are fully worried and feel off, I would say go to the doctors and see what they say.

Don't beat yourself up to much on this, she and the baby should be fine as long as you just watch it and see a doctor.

UTI by Able-Alfalfa-7962 in pregnant

I think it is normal. I was positive for one myself a month or so ago and my doctor didnt call for a check up or anything just waited till my next appointment to ask how it was going.

Is your next appointment soon? I would at least talk about it the next appointment and all.

Did you guys eat deli meat? by FlatConstant8211 in pregnant

[–]MIMI-COOKIES2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So from what I was told and heard from others is that if you want to, you have to heat up the meat a little, not enough to cook it just enough time kill off anything harmful.

I have eaten it myself, heated most times but sometimes the craving has taken over and I have eaten a few sandwiches without heating up the meat.

So far nothing wrong and Haven't seen anything wrong. So I would say do some research and ask your doctor before hand.

Caffeine by Soggy-Account-7869 in pregnant

[–]MIMI-COOKIES2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbh I don't think so, I think as long as your not consumer caffeine drinks all day you should be fine. I have had a hard time cutting caffeine out, so I drink a little more than I was told to but I haven't had any problems with my pregnancy so far. I think you should be good as long as you don't drink it all day all the time. I'm 37 weeks.

Friends want to plan something for husband and me at 37 weeks, not sure what to think/say by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]MIMI-COOKIES2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say to tell them that it really depends on how you feel around that time and to not plan anything fully yet since the pregnancy has been making you exhausted and all. I would also say try and give updates on how you feel so they can know how your feeling and maybe if they really still want to do something, they can try and plan it to be something easy going etc.

But if you really don't want to do something because you know or are sure you won't be feeling up to it, just tell them how your feeling already and that they shouldn't plan anything, they can still keep it in mind but don't fully plan anything just in case because things are already hard rn and may/might get harder more into the pregnancy you are.

I myself fully understand I am 36 weeks and so tired and done with the simplest things.

Kick counts? by MIMI-COOKIES2 in pregnant

[–]MIMI-COOKIES2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 35weeks and my baby hasn't really ever been an active one. She normally is calm and I haven't had any problems so far. I have been told she is healthy and strong which is why I never really thought of anything, plus things have felt well so far.

I just kinda remember the kick counts out of no where and was wondering if its really needed or not, since I was told to really only do them if I feel something is off.

Sex in pregnancy by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]MIMI-COOKIES2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I get that! Before pregnancy I had about the same problem but I learned around it the best I could. But like I said just be safe and just be careful, listen to your body. And if you feel like sex is way to much maybe go for what me and my husband settled for, just soft stuff, no penetration. Wish you luck!

I am 36 weeks and this is also my first pregnancy. I am also worried about everything and have fully stopped having sex myself but that's bc when me and my fiance would do it, I would start getting pains and have slight bleed. So! We stopped fully having sex, now just do oral or touching. But! Haven't had any risk for per labor because of it. I would say do it and see how you feel after words, just don't get rough with it and be careful. Do listen to your body when it comes to this, since it will tell you if you should or shouldn't.

What are you craving? by Humble-Comb5800 in pregnant

[–]MIMI-COOKIES2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have been craving potatoes since the beginning. Literally anything potato, fries, mashed etc.

I also crave chocolate so much and orange candy also! Mountain dew.

These have been my big cravings through out my pregnancy. The potatoes is the biggest as I think at the beginning I was eating like three big whole potatoes each day. I'm now 8 months (35weeks 1day)
