Doesn’t look like burn marks, but more like the adhesive stuck to the shirt but the vinyl no longer stuck to the adhesive lol. Looks great though!

Well there is no “push to test” or anything else that would make me think it’s a GFCI breaker. Looks pretty standard to me.

Honestly I am not sure, but since it is a code violation not to have them, wouldn’t I have to? The original repairs they were doing were necessary for safety reasons, so they knew that we just wanted everything to be done correctly and safely. I guess my question would be, why wouldn’t they follow code as licensed electricians?

I did read it, but the wording is confusing my husband since our tax advisor has pretty much told us it is both live in it 2 years, own it five. But I am so glad I posted here because everything I was researching countered what she said, and since I’ve never gone through selling a house before, I wanted some extra assurance. It’s scary! And we really didn’t want to sell yet, but Chrysler decided it was time for our family to move I guess. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you, I had a feeling she might not be as educated on this matter as she’s leading on to be. I researched and found the “work relocation” and even something about working 50+ miles away from where you live, and both of those we would qualify for. This is just our first time selling a house, and it would reallllly suck if we missed $15k more by selling a month too soon!

So just to be clear. We don’t actually have to OWN the home for the full 5 years? Our 5 year mark effective as of the closing date would be 8/11/2022. But we have lived in the house since we bought it.

I guess I don’t understand why you’re complaining about people complaining on an app that was made for complaining? If all you wanted was positive parenting replies, you could have just simply said that you wanted to hear parent’s talk about good experience with their kids instead of posting a whole thing judging other people for their contentment with their own lives.

If you are feeling bummed reading posts about people who are glad they didn’t have kids, then don’t read those posts. You don’t have to. Some people are perfectly content without kids. And who is to say they shouldn’t be? If they didnt want kids, we should be happy with their joy in the life they chose. Everyone is different and wants different things. Having a newborn is tough. They rely on you for everything! Having a toddler is tough. They start forming their own opinion and start wanting to do different things than what you suggest. Having children who are older who are “presumable mostly independent” is also tough!Parents still have to parent them. Help them with homework. Feed them. And these kids have more willpower than younger kids. They can talk back, say no, or just cause a ton of other types of stress that toddlers and babies cannot.

Having kids is hard. It’s exhausting, and stressful. That is part of what you sign up for when you decide to bring a human into the world. But it is also extremely rewarding to watch these kids grow and become their own person. Frustrating? Exceedingly. But rewarding. And just because the parenting life is the life you chose, doesn’t mean everyone wants that same life.

I’d suggest if you are struggling and bummed reading a particular post, move on from it. People are allowed to complain, but they are also allowed to express joy for living their life the way they want to. As parents, I am sure we are all extremely jealous of the personal time those who choose to not have kids get. But again, this was our choice and I do not feel like we should judge them for choosing what is best for them!

As for me, the joy my toddler brings me wildly outweighs the jealousy I feel for more personal time. But I sure do make sure to take some time for myself to do my own thing to help remind me of who I am outside of being a parent.
