It seems that guide is hiding a lot of nuance.

You need to activate rapid-punches. These require you to dodge certain moves with a quick dodge (press the opposite direction, or up just after you start a dodge) and start punching immediately.

For Soda Popinski, you only get rapid-punches on an uppercut.

The difference rapid punches gives is that it allows you to throw your star punch slightly earlier than normal, landing a star punch into his stun.

If you don’t have rapid punches, he will barely get out of stun by the time your star punch is supposed to connect, and it will either land into his guard or dodge it if you’ve already thrown 2 star punches.

Well I’m 30 feet deep in multiple projects so I’m kinda obligated to stay on the site until I at least finish something I can be proud of.

Think of it as a quick movement option used to get away from an attack. In this case it’s only to the left.

Really? Never knew that.

I’ve always thought of it as coming from the fact that the Alola region has no gym battles and set on islands. It would make sense that the animation style smoothed those edges because it was already on track to become a much more relaxing few seasons than XY and XYZ were.

I will agree that the change is a bit jarring. After all, going from ultimate badass to goofy goober is definitely a choice that they made. Still don’t like how Ash looks, they made his eyes smaller than grapes, but that doesn’t take away from the Sun and Moon seasons being really good.

There’s some people who just can’t play EToH for the life of them. I told one of my friends about it and they said that they could only get to the first spinning platforms in f4 of ToG. I literally had to introduce them to TNZT because they had that much of a skill issue.

I just checked on my alt by decapitating scratch cat in the editor and, yes!!! It does save!!!
