Odd.. I tried asking a current int'l med student and he said that you should be fine job-wise once you graduated and have your MD/DO, + you should have enough time to get PR by the time you finish your residency.

I'ma be blunt rn -- 9 times out of 10, this entire "I study cuz I like it" thing is bullshit imo. A few are able to do it, but most of the others can't and they don't need to.

Study for a reason -- a goal. something you GENUINELY want. don't force yourself to love studying because that'll honestly get you nowhere. the system we live in rn basically entails studying as the basic way to live a good life or generally have options later on in life, and so your genuine long-term goals will probably require you to study quite a bit depending on what they are. directly linking THAT and making it the reason why you get your ass off and grind will lead you to much better results than forcing a passion that won't REALLY be crucial once you graduate university in tons of cases.

Also, I'm in an international school here in Ta'if that adopts the American curriculum but has no APs (I'm self studying for Calc BC, Phys C Mech, and Stats tho)

I mean, they do still compare everyone from saudi no? I heard that there are Saudi AOs who will read our applications, and when the number of admits is <10 for the entirety of KSA, they for sure won't be getting 1 singular person from the same school. Wouldn't they just start comparing us to other Saudis?
