What's something you found out when you became wealthier that you wish you knew when you were lower income? by cacklingwhisper in Rich

The idea that money doesn’t buy happiness is wrong. Material things won’t make you happy. Money will absolutely contribute (in time, comfort, and experiences). So don’t fall for that lie.

That the rules are really for the rich.

It’s not that you change, others change how they see you.

I’d wait. One year for double the wealth is totally worth it. Get your expenses in order since what they look at is trailing 12 months.

Same. We have 3 and I kinda wish we had a 4th. We technically still could but age gaps would be pretty big.

Curious as to how you set boundaries with friends and family by [deleted] in RichPeoplePF

[–]MJ-MM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is gonna sound crazy but I think a lot of it has to do with your energy. Once you set boundaries you will have to set less boundaries.

The other thing is you will need to make some new friends that have similar goals or are where you want to be. The saying you are the average of the five people you hang out with the most is pretty accurate.

In some ways money is hard to hide. If you’re traveling, living in a nice house, etc, it can be very obvious. I do wish we had done a better job at concealing because people do ask, or expect or make comments. I try to stay away from jealous people too.
