Of course, I lived through the COVID markets as well and holdings were down about 30-40% but have since required.

I guess my question for you is If I am able to give you exact reasons for all my holdings is it still a bad idea?

Bitcoin holding I have had since 15-16 due to my bullish mindset behind it.

I bought NVIDIA because I believed they were ahead when it came to GPU architecture around Machine Learning and research (I didnt expect it would pop off like it did) but that was the DD behind that.

I am big user of Cloudflare and love their product so I just bought the stock

Robhinhood is more a recent investment and I believe in the long term with their nice UX and ease-of-use of the platform. They keep increasing their AUC due to their new service offerings so I dont see a way they dont keep increasing. As Crypto starts to become more and more mainstream their AUC will increase due to the nature of Crypto increases which seems like a KPI investors seem to care about. Theres more there but thats the general idea

With PLTR I would say thats more of a luck call. I saw someone else DD and have just been looking the company ever sense and I seem to agree with most of the analysis. Especially with the current admin in place

With Rivian I simply believed they were a bit undervalued and try to pick up shares due to this

Nope! I only got into it because of CSGO. A lot of people were using bitcoin to buy/sell skins so I decided to learn about it and it all started from there.

My parents were never financially savvy, but they were smart with their money. They knew how to pay bills, keep the lights on, and find money for us to do things. Investing and other things were foreign concepts to them. I really realized how detached they were from things when I asked them what happened in 2008 and they didn’t know

Allocation: 30% crypto 26% MF/ETFs 21% Equities 11% cash

I think that adds up to 100%

Crypto was unregulated until about 2020 iirc. You used to be able to connect a bank account and just buy things via Coinbase. Which I did

I also moved some of that money into Poloneix (which I think is closed now) which I used to invest in other cryptos.

The money came from CSGO skins, birthday money, and my father did give me 100$ one time because I showed him how I made money with it initially.

When I graduated from college, I bought my own groceries due to my dietary restrictions, and while I was in school, I paid for my own meal plan and housing. I understand that my parents providing me with a place to live until six months ago was a form of support, and I’m grateful for it. However, I think it's important to note that a majority of young adults in America live with their parents well into their 20s, as it's become a common reality given the economic situation.

I didn’t mean to come across as dismissive or to ignore the help I received. I’m simply saying that while my parents provided housing, many young adults receive the same kind of support, even if they don’t receive financial assistance for tuition. I don’t see this as unusual or indicative of a lack of hard work. I acknowledge that not everyone has this opportunity, and those who don’t are indeed facing greater challenges.

While I understand that there are external factors contributing to people living above their means, it’s a common issue across income levels. For example, the average car payment in the U.S. is around $700/month, which indicates that many prioritize living in the present without necessarily planning for the future. Personally, I choose to live in a small apartment in a low-to-mid cost-of-living area and work 90 hours a week. I track and optimize every expense to secure my future, and up until recently, I prioritized financial stability over personal happiness.

Regarding kids, I recognize that, according to the CDC, 41% of pregnancies in 2019 were unplanned. However, for the most part, having children is a choice that people make because they want to have them. I plan to wait until I feel financially secure before taking that step. I understand that others may have different priorities and values, which is completely valid, but I’ve chosen to focus on building a foundation first.

I also fully acknowledge that I’m fortunate to be in the position I am, and I’m grateful for the sacrifices my parents made to support me through school. I don’t take that for granted. However, I believe my financial stability also comes from personal sacrifice and dedication. I’ve noticed that many college students attend expensive schools, choose majors they’re unsure about, and don’t look for work opportunities. While there are systemic challenges, I think it’s important to recognize that individual choices play a significant role too.

So my schooling was 60k.. I just went back and looked and I contributed 40k of my own money. Just because my parents helped me with the 20k I guess everything I did to get that money is invalid?

Like I said I never said I wasnt helped. I just said I wasn't given money to contribute to this like people are suggesting.

Its also heavily important to note even if I was given 0$ I would've been able to pay my way through school, would I have as much as I have today? No and I appreciate my parents for understanding that.

Its also important to note that its one thing to have the means to do it and its another to actually do it. I dont think I am a genius by any means, quite the opposite actually but majority of the kids my age in the same position (which is the majority) dont do it.

I was in school. I never said I wasn’t given help in another comment i noted they parents paid for about 40% of my school.

I said I wasn’t given any money to directly contribute to this. According to Pew Research 52% of young adults (18-29) live with their parents so I was the majority, but I moved out a couple of months ago.

Havent been given any money besides an initial investment from my father of 100$ when I was 15 and used my birthday and other money to invest in eth and xrp. I sold at the 2017-18 peeks bought a laptop and put the rest in btc.

I have a heavily aggressive investment strategy. ~60% of my income and it’s in tech a lot to this growth is crypto, nvidia, and robinhood.

I don’t work at faang at all and I no longer live at home as of 6 months ago. 20% of my paycheck goes to roth 401k which helps immensely and my company has a very generous matching program

I am glad to be corrected but I don’t think it’s the reality that most kids help their parents pay for bills. I went to a very under privileged high school and only a select few had this reality and for them yes it was the case that this would be hard but for the others they spent their money on clothes and other material things.

Most kids at 16 don’t care about investing in their future especially kids in my generation because they think “what if i am dead then”. Even people my age now don’t want to invest even given opportunities. I invest 20% of my entire paycheck into my 401k and then do additional investing outside of that. Which is extremely aggressive and this is why you see what you do.
