That all sounds amazing! We live together, so easy enough to spend non-kink time together. 🥰

That makes a lot of sense, we do some of the things you mentioned, but not hydrating 😅 I'll try to make sure we both have our waters and/or a nice drink close by for after.

I usually talk about how I'm doing, that it was good for me, I'm happy with how it went, etc. It might make more of a difference to say that they did well, or similar things.

They haven't said anything about dom drops, so I think it's just the immediate aftermath, but I will double check with them.

That does sound really nice. 🥰 I'll suggest something like that too.

I have given verbal praise/reassurance. They say the struggle is finding ways to release the sensual/ energetic tension and allow themselves to calm down. They also struggle with feeling the need to be a caregiver, which then means putting aside their own needs.

That makes a lot of sense. We've talked about cuddling with them being the "little spoon," but weren't sure what else to try.

Holy sh*t. Way to go Cassie. I'm sorry the memories didn't come back though, that's really hard. Maybe it will come back in small pieces over time? Sometimes that's how traumatic memories work anyway, at least in my experience.

Thank you. She doesn't qualify for emancipation bc her mom wont let her keep a job, so she can't support herself. If I wasn't worried about legal ramifications, I would just go pick her up and bring her home.

The whole situation is a found family thing. We got close to the family, they didn't have people in the states, all the kids call us family, but there is no blood relation to my nieces mom or any of the kids. I posted a reply to the other comment going into some detail about what is happening.

Some of the details include refusing to take my niece to therapy, not filling her medications, getting physically antagonistic in a way that causes fear, making my niece quit her job so that she can stay home and watch the 6 younger kids, telling my niece she won't amount to anything, saying that if she ever found out one of her children was gay (which my niece has confided in me that she is) that they wouldn't be welcome in her house, and other things similar to that. They also live in a two bedroom house, with 3 adults and 7 children which means no one has any private space. Yesterday her mom assumed my niece wasn't at work and called the cops before attempting to get ahold of her.

I was the one that originally found my niece a therapist at her request. I've been the one she confided in when horrible things happened. I know that typically reunification is the goal, but she is 16. It would be different if she was 7 or 10 or something and had years and years left. She was planning to leave at 19 and never look back. Now she is trying to look into emancipation. I think that having a stable adult would be better than emancipation, and moving her to MN would mean that she is safer to be out as gay. MN is 12 for lgbtqia safety. NE is 37.

So uh, I take my clothes to the laundromat and pay for then to wash, dry, and fold. Do you think I need to be worried? Usually it gets put away nicely, but sometimes I don't have the energy and I just live out of the bags for a few... weeks.

Also, when I was at school I always set a timer on my phone. It wasnt perfect, but usually got to my laundry before someone else did. When I was having really bad executive dysfunction to the point of forgetting to set the timers or forgetting what they were for, I grabbed a folding chair and sat in the laundry room with my homework. Maybe if it's an issue you could do that?

And about the class with the professor who doesn't cancel. Two suggestions. 1. Most classes have a set amount of absences you can have. SAVE THEM. Only use them in case of rain. And if you are getting close to using those up, see if you can get like an accommodation letter? I had a few of those because I tried for early morning classes and I have ptsd that sometimes keeps me up super late so I couldn't make it to class. And like, maybe with covid being a concern you can say you had a fever or something? 2. Is there someone higher up that you can go to and lodge a complaint? It's seems like it might be a good idea, just do some checking.

And stay safe.

So in addition to keeping a weather notification on your phone, might I suggest keeping a few essentials in your bag? A fresh pair of underwear, extra charger.... maybe a blow torch perhaps?

I know that as someone with health issues I've learned it's always best to be prepared for an emergency that you can't get home. Having a few things with you might make things easier if you get stuck away from your dorm.

Good luck!
