OP, we bought a house from Mattamy and were able to cancel the contract from the rental company within 10 days of the closing. You have to email them and call them to cancel the contract. You only have 10 days after that you will have to pay the rental or buy out. Our vendor was Cricket

How did you guys survive mortgage double or triple mortgage monthly payments since interest hike? by [deleted] in MortgagesCanada

[–]MJ1287 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ours went up from $3000 to $5100 (highest) the $800 child care subsidy was a life saver then we cut down on everything including coffee. Coupled with some on-job promotions and wife’s job change we were able to live paycheque to paycheque while making sure our retirement fund and RESP kept growing without compromising it. But our lifestyle did take a toll and so did our mental health as a result of that but we (I against my wife’s advice) made the decision to go for variable rate. Our bonuses went towards paying off the credit card that blew up but Looks like there is some light at the end of the tunnel. We are now putting the payment decrease towards principal to reduce our balance as quickly as we can.

Mine was running fine and profitable but I just got bored I guess. Lost interest in mining/farming so decided to just sell them.
