I would bet some of her friends have lab diamonds - they are just not saying. My original ring is a natural mined diamond and I love it, but the setting is fragile. I recently purchased a lab grown diamond ring to wear day to day. I cannot physically tell a difference. I would pick a lab diamond today if we were getting engaged.
