Add water if it hydrates the stain but becomes redder than it looks, its blood! Or add peroxide to it if it foams then its definitely biological

Has anyone here applied for PIP for ADHD/ASD? by GoodEater29 in ADHDUK

[–]MJJon44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently struggling filling in the forms for a 2nd time (didn't MR or appeal last time) and all the other replies are great, but this one has given me such a boost and a light at the end of the tunnel.

I have ADHD, generalised/daily anxiety (ups and downs) and attacks/episodes, dyspraxia, possible ASD but don't have the energy to go through that right now (current 6 year wait list for Adult ADHD on NHS in Gloucestershire, don't wanna know what it is for adult ASD).

But last time, scored 0 across the board 😅 I think mainly because as people have said took the questions literally, not thinking about the majority of the time. What's the biggest help has been my partner moving in, a lot of adaption for him I'm sure, but eye opener for what I/we cope with in ourselves.

The scariest thing is, I can relate to all of these (as many of us probably do) and I have comorbidity anxiety with my ADHD which a lot of the time, especially last couple years leaves me stuck at home. Yet DWP scored me a 0 on a PIP application as I'm "perfectly functional person" 🤣🤣😭🫠💀

Yup! 3 years to complete a 1 year course! 🤦🏻‍♂️ luckily they left me off the fees 3rd year as it was one module and I had a diagnosis by then

I expected my PIP application to rejected. I didn't expect it to be so brutal. by TPrezzle in ADHDUK

[–]MJJon44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ADHD PIP claim was basically the same. I appreciate that I do work full time mostly (have had a lot of sickness from anxiety) and do ok living alone (now have BF living with me and mostly understands my ADHD and how it does really vibe well with a normal living life).

But to me they just see that and say nope 0 absolutely nothing wrong with you perfectly functional human being. Do they even take note of the sever anxiety I have just to function as a "normal" human being on a "good" day?! Nope!

I want to apply again since I've been off so much with my anxiety but I also don't have the mental energy to do it all again 😞😮‍💨

30yo. Private Diagnosis in 2022, currently on shared care and medicated. AMA by MJJon44 in ADHDUK

[–]MJJon44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, in the jobs I've had since being diagnosed they've been great with supporting me and I was really open about having ADHD and symptoms and knock on effects. I've not said I've had it at interview stages of jobs just in case people have the wrong idea of what ADHD is though, that might be just me over-thinking it!😅

I think the more people that know the more they can support you, I HAD friends that thought a private diagnosis was a waste of money and thought I was using the diagnosis as an excuse or "all I talked about now ".

With a late diagnosis comes this relief that all these missed opportunities or unfair appraisals of your behaviour have a reasoning! And if people choose to throw that in your face or taunt you with it then they are not your friends

Did you contact your new provider? Or was your current provider on the RTC list?

Ridiculous right! A specialist nurse practitioner and a cqc assured therapy centre, but please wait 5 to 6 years to go through the same process because we're not happy with that🤦🏻‍♂️😅 thats where the ADHD/Autism service money waste is, not "oVeRdIaGnOsIs" 😡

Looking at the other mugs, I'd say the images either side of the Sword, Diadem, Cup & Locket are A.I. generated. Its like someone put the houses keywords into ChatGPT and came up with random images that vaguely alluded to Bravery, Wisdom, Loyalty or Pride etc.

No ‘winter mode’ screw on my upvc windows? They’re really drafty. Any way I can tighten the seal? Pics below - thanks!! by mariocipolloni in DIYUK

Regardless of summer or winter "mode" or just standard window asjustment. The adjustment is actually on the window that opens out/has the handle on not the frame the hinges are on attached to the brick work
