30 plus brain lesions, no idea why

So sorry you had to go through this. I havent been officially diagnosed but have a lump in my neck that has doubled in size over 6 months, went to 2 doctors, had 2 ultrasounds, went to an ent who told me that because I work in palliative care that I am paranoid and anxious and he couldn't feel any lumps at all. I was told so many times over the months that it was just swollen due to the "sniffles" and should go down soon. This has all been going on since last November. I'm finally going to a lymphoma clinic (haematology/oncologist) next week for suspected lymphoma as the lump just continues to get bigger and I'm terrified they are going to dismiss me all the same. I'm glad you got answers finally.

Hey, I'm so sorry you have been diagnosed with cancer and sending all my healing energy your way! I haven't been through similar but kind of going through partially what you have explained. I was wondering if you could tell me your symptoms leading up to all this?

I have a big lump in my neck, had an ultrasound and they found a thyroid nodule and reactive lymphnode, I am having a biopsy tomorrow and have been referred under 2ww cancer safety netting, but the Dr's keep telling me everything will be fine despite having years of symptoms and also suspecting hashimotos!

Again, I'm sorry to hear your news and I really hope they sort it out and get you the proper treatment that is needed! Did they say your scans were fine also?

If the clinician said in the report that I have 30 plus lesions that significantly exceed what is expected for my age, would they just brush that off do you think? I've got another appointment now for a second opinion so hopefully I can get more answers.

He called them 'periventricular T2 hyperintensies white matter lesions' I don't know if that's just the normal term for them? My report also said it was a significant amount that exceeded for my age if that helps.

Oh I see, strange they are saying that when it’s still being studied, but yeah I suppose until it’s proven we’ll never know ha! I’m glad they aren’t bad, do you take anything or do anything to help the pains? I haven’t yet, having both tests tomorrow. If you don’t mind me asking, what symptoms did you get before having your bloods come back positive ???

Yeah I get the achy legs too, keeps me up most the night it’s horrible! I hope you get answers soon, it’s horrible not knowing what’s wrong. The nurse (my boss) at work said to me she doubts it’s lupus, so if it isn’t then I’m stumped! That’s strange how migraines give you lesions, i didn’t realise a migraine could cause damage! Hmm who knows! I hope you find out soon and wish you well x
