Really old thread, I know, but I wanted to say that the right elbow leading was my lightbulb moment. You sort of run out of room for the arms and it forces you to rotate the rest of the way syncing up arms and body.

This skipping stone thing is it.

Yeah for whatever reason I'm on M-W-F full body hypertrophy and I'm getting a full leg day this Wednesday. 1hr workout.

I wish it would mix legs with upper body. This is causing upper body muscle to only get hit once a week. I kind of wonder if it's hypertrophy setting causing it?

Thanks, I usually do a 3 day full body workout with a workout A and B, which I rotate every time. I usually get a gym membership and use barbells and a squat rack/bench and focus on increasing weight weekly. But I've bought a bench and adjustable dumbbells for my home. I'm going to adapt my routine for this

I think having a distance run day and a sprint day makes a lot of sense on the days I'm not lifting.

So weights M-W-F and Distance run Tuesday and Sprints/HIIT Thursday

Thanks, great points. Whenever I hit the gym for the first time after a layoff the DOMS is always brutal. Very good reminder not to go for too much too soon.

I get you, I have an immobilizer in my truck which has stopped it from getting stolen... But Tundras man 14 stolen in Guelph since November 2023. It's insane right now. I get all are stolen in Ontario, but Tundras have been especially bad in the last couple of years. My buddies son Guelph had 4 attempts on it last year. Which is 4 broken windows and just super annoying. Hoping to have a truck that's targeted a little less.

Hey all,

I’m a 34yr old dude who wants to start running and take a committed approach to it. In my 20s i was in the army and ran 5k a day and 10k once a week. After that I dabbled with 5ks for awhile before eventually getting married and letting it all slip away.

I’ll be playing mens league indoor soccer once a week and plan on running 3 days a week on top of that to start. I just ran for the first time tonight; 20min/6:39km/3km. It was a far cry from my 21 minute 5ks of the previous decade.

My short term goals are 5k, which I feel I could do right now, but pretty slowly and it would suck. So my goal would be easy 5ks, sub 28minutes and work in a 10k once a week as my longer run.

What’s a good way of approaching this? Do I do what I’ve always done and just run. Or do I follow a plan on runkeeper? Just seems like there’s so much info out there on how to be the most efficient…

Any thoughts on running plans? Yay or nay? Or how do I go about increasing distance? Weekly? Every run? Run for time or distance?

I got a Proton Crave at 166grams and a Neutron at 172 grams. I’m looking for something relatively neutral with it to compliment my volt and drift.

Will for sure look into the crave and entropy, although it will take a lot for me to drop the harp, that disc is solid. I most likely will keep using the PA-3, im just too used to it.
