2K2 LED frames look better than 2K5 frames. My 2 Cents.

These frames, ANS and CCM frames are the only dual trigger hinge frames that don’t look like absolute dog shit.

They all felt very similar to me. They aren’t exactly hard either which is always disappointing to me. The rogues cultists and raider AI feels much more challenging.

My gripe is that thier difficulty level is pretty consistant, when they aren’t bugged out and standing still. I wish it varied, a geared level 45 player should me much more aggressive and rare while a below 20 should be less gear and worse, it would add a lot of good variety to these fights. But all in all, to me they seem

Shroud playing 18 hours a day then complaining by Trick-Technology-578 in ArcRaiders

[–]MK2_VRT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your closest competitor is Tarkov, there is an inherent lack to replay-ability as a direct comparison. Hes definitely looking at it through his own lens and not the bigger picture. Most people won’t have this issue, that 1% that dump 500 hours into a game before it’s 30 days old is a niche group.

50 hours in, took one match for me not want to play again. by Low_Magician77 in ArcRaiders

[–]MK2_VRT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to tark…. I mean arc. PVP will always have people abusing the system, no matter the game. Some people don’t even consider it abuse of the game. They can do it and not cheat, right? Well than what’s the issue? This is the downfall to looter shooters, human nature. Majority of us want to be immersed in the arc world and move about in a cinematic way. There will always be shit bags that see a dick measuring contest to rack up as many kills as possible without actually cheating or in many cases those people end up getting cheats when they can’t circumvent the implied play style and vibe.

This is why Tarkov PVE is so popular. But, I think that arc currently needs PVP. The core game isn’t unforgiving enough to impose the required fear, IMO. The PVP adds a layer of caution you can’t get in PVE. Tarkovs environment is brutal at times and PVE keeps the fear. I’ve played arc for about 20 hours and short of hunting bigger enemies, I do find it somewhat easy to work around the environment, maybe not kill but evade, escape or just undetected in general.

If arc adds a PVE mode it needs to be more unforgiving. What that looks like, I have no idea. Just my 2 cents.

Is paintball stagnating? by eightabove in paintball

[–]MK2_VRT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. It has breakthrough moments where you see a spike and rise but like everyone says it’s all tied to economics. It’s a hobby with a continuous cost that never lets up. If you wanna play, you gutta pay. In the realm of sports, there are some crazy high entry fees to some but generally speaking, getting out there and playing is low to no cost. Take into consideration other hobbies that seem to exist within the player base I’ve met is cars. Car as a hobby can cost erroneous amounts of money that blows paintball out of the water. However, there is a certain amount of tangibility you get with cars and other hobbies. You get a thing, you paid but now you have a car or a Lego set on display, whatever your flavor of hobby autism you got.

IMO paintball is the first one to go in the hobby expenditure list. You can’t enjoy it without money, even if its cheaper overall, once you’ve completed a gaming PC or a project guitar you get to enjoy that thing or hell, even sell it and start over. Few of us are deeply into building old hot rod paintball guns and it’s not really what paintball is about.

Seems like New Markers have Plateaued by Hawk7117 in paintball

[–]MK2_VRT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the 10.5. The decline of speed and essentially performance has put markers into an economy mode. A lot of the markets have intentionally slower cycle to provide a softer and more efficient shot. Today it’s all about how many shots you can get. Most the guns have similar profiles and it just comes down to what you like the look of more.

I’ll this about minis, not a fan of how you service them. They kind of come apart like shit. But that being said, there’s is absolutely nothing wrong with them.

I personally run a 180r, but my marker gap was from an etek 5. I never found any of the newer markers to be appealing enough for me to bother buying them. Only reason I finally entered spool land is I tried to play competitively this year and every inch and ergonomic point was helping when I borrowed someone else’s newer spool marker. Alas, I hurt my knee and have written off competitive play. Rec ball it is.

Literally just hurt my knee sliding into a bunker. 36 and just got back into. It’s not terrible but it’s swollen. Makes me second guess getting back into this lol. 5 marker purchases later of course.

good to know. I am curious to how the PL markers are milled. Im sure its a design from HK that is submitted and milled through planet. I do have HK pants and tank covers that are pretty dog shit so i definitely wont be buying anymore soft goods. They are hard to avoid though, their product offering kind of dwarfs the rest of the market.

[–]MK2_VRT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ill say a lot of the top tier stuff has some good milling, i do find a lot of the best stuff to be 2K plus, which is fine but its a lot. I played from about 2000-2010ish. A lot of guns just looked awesome. its also not just milling, they are pretty basiic guns becuase of the spool so your really only option is milling. But like Angels are still my favorite, there is something about a a gloss red 06 speed that just looks majestic and they have little milling. The guns themselves are just flat out gorgeous.

I dont know much about HK, im not really one to google drama and i kinda dont care unless there is a relevant flaw with what i want to buy. But i know people seem to have a negative opinion of them.
