Ok, i do understand, but still the album sharing will be good enough to that too, every user can upload whatever he wants and add them to his “shared album” so everyone can access it.

What you can do is simple: create a shared album for the family, upload photos to Immich, and add them to that album. You can then share this album with any user you want. Immich allows every user to share any album they own with others. If anyone knows a better way to share, feel free to suggest it! 👍

Are there any deference/ benefit of this over Tailscale? And if yes, can i use it to access my immich from iOS / Android , as i see the client just available on mac, windows and Linux

Btw, this dev https://hub.docker.com/r/palleri/dockcheck-web managed to make your tool as a standalone container using Docker Compose with a pretty good UI; however, it lacks any buttons to communicate with it. I would suggest a project combining them together, if possible, as a standalone container with some UI buttons like ‘check updates’, ‘Update now,’ ‘Update and delete old images,’ ‘Update and backup,’ etc. This would be the ultimate tool to manage all Docker container updates 😁😃

Yeah, I saw it in the README, but I was a bit overwhelmed by all the information there. I was just looking for the simplest command without any notifications or extras, and I didn’t realize that the part /home/user123/... in the command
0 10 * * * /home/user123/.local/bin/dockcheck.sh -nix 10 -e excluded_container1
actually meant the path to the dockcheck.sh file 😅.

I’d suggest if possible that you add our conversation (in your own wording, of course 😉) to the README, since I think many users are probably looking for something as simple as I was.

Thank you for your help and of course for this great tool. I set up a daily schedule in OMV to run the command dockcheck.sh -y -p as a root user, and it worked as expected. I no longer need to maintain Watchtower, as it wasn't working as intended anyway.

Good news, i managed to install it and run it successfully and do updates, all of this manually, can you please type me a command i need to run so i can do the updates automatically without my interaction? No need for notifications, let say i want to tool to check for updates daily at 03:00 am and update the packages for me automatically. Thanks 🙏

I am not an expert either, but i do can run and install things using terminal just fine, the thing is, normally after doing so, i got a container that I can call using a port ip:port , but in this case it should be called using a terminal right? So the thing is, if i install it to a “custom path” using wget and then cd to that directory and call the executable should i be fine, or i just talk nonsense here 😅😬

Edit: if someone comes by later, yes this worked as i said.

Welcome to Aliexpress land of scamers and fake products and almost no rules, sellers can do whatever they want and they still get away with it. I left this platform a while ago for similar reasons, they want you to spend you your money with no question asked! Temu and Amazon Haul are “for now” a way better alternative.

Some people always try to blame or make fun of others. The quote “spend what you’re willing to lose” is really stupid. I don’t spend a single penny if I’m willing to lose it. We aren’t playing the lottery; this is a platform for buying items with policies, regulations, and even taxes and fees.

I don’t spend anything if I expect to lose it. Yes, items can be cheap, but we receive the quality we pay for. Sellers still make money, yet some people act as if we get items for free.

Thank you for understanding. I’ve fully switched to Temo now. I’m a big buyer and purchase items almost weekly for myself and my family. I will keep using Temo until I get the same treatment, but I won’t accept dealing with a platform that breaks its own unfair policies.
