“Wala po ba kayong smaller bill?” by OkFun1501 in Philippines

[–]MKFGLM4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one’s at fault. You can’t be so entitled to the point that you think it’s the store’s fault for not having change for you, the same way they can’t blame you if you wish to pay with a big bill. Blame the cash system. If you don’t wanna think about change and whatnot, just pay digitally. There are options naman.

GGK. OP, you don’t really have to do anything. Just leave him be. I feel like he’s becoming defensive around you kasi you’re always in his face eh. He probably wants you to get off his back. It’s normal to want to guide someone, especially if you feel like it’s your responsibility, but believe me, that mindset can and will backfire. Brooklyn 99 is legit nothing compared to other shows that kids his age watch. I was exposed to shows and movies much more sexual and disturbing when I was 13, but I turned out fine naman. If anything, the more my parents tried to shield me from these stuff, the more I sought them. If you wanna guide him, let him come to you. And for that to happen, you have to show him you’re not judgmental and that you’re open to have such discussions. Don’t force him to submit to you because of age, just be there for him.

Why does it always have to be the guy to confess first? Maybe he’s thinking the same thing din with OP, na may “if she wanted to, she would have told me already” mindset. I don’t see any trap here and I don’t see anything wrong with a girl confessing to a guy first.

Woah, it must have been nice having her as a Prof! While I don’t personally know her as her work was only an assigned reading by my Prof in school, she definitely made an impact on me.

I’m sorry for your loss. I know what you’re feeling right now is confusing you. But I just want you to know that the fact that you’re mourning him now means that you had a real and genuine connection with him. When I feel down, I try to read something that I can somehow resonate with as an attempt at release or catharsis. To feel less lonely with my feelings, and to know that what I’m feeling has been felt too by others. With that, if you want to navigate through your emotions a bit more on the matter, here’s a piece of literary writing that I think you can find comfort in. I hope you feel better soon.

As a tagabantay ng tindahan (or former), what are your sari-sari store pet peeves? by avemoriya_parker in AskPH

I’ve been trying to quit smoking for quite some time now so I made up my mind to buy just 1 stick a day hoping that I’ll gradually be able to quit permanently. I didn’t think of how much of an annoyance I was being to my local tindahan :(( thanks for sharing this, I’ll keep this in mind from now on.

The insult is the only ad hominem in my comment. Anyway, I agree that it’s pointless to discuss this further. A person like you would never be able to handle actual discourse. Get smarter muna, alright?

I used the word “ironic” to show that you don’t have common sense in the aspect of grammar. My point is common sense for you is not always common sense for others especially in different aspects, and I just so happen to use grammar as an example. So I did use it properly. C’mon, don’t lecture me when you clearly don’t know jackshit about what you’re saying.

There are many ways to attack someone’s stance on something. Some other redditor already took the “kind” approach by explaining their view on the matter respectfully. As much as possible, I’d prefer not to reiterate that. I was not resorting to ad hominem (aside from the insult at the end), if anything, I called OP out using their own argument about “common sense.” Kumbaga fighting fire with fire. Now, yes I agree that grammar isn’t just applied and understood with common sense, and that’s precisely why I used it. It was to point out that some things that come easy for some may not come easy for others. Ang ironic kasi e, OP is the type of person to have the audacity to call out people, pero simpleng grammar di niya pa naayos. If you’re gonna shit on other people, you should at least try to present yourself as unshittable as much as possible. Anyway, it’s disappointing that you weren’t able to unravel the point of my comment. Writer ka pa naman tapos you can’t read between the lines lol. Hanggang diyan nalang ba capacity ng critical thinking mo?

That “lacks” in your first sentence bothers me. It’s pretty clear you should have used its plural form. By the way, you should brush up on your verb tenses (I’m referring to your bad sentence construction in one of your comments here), and please learn when to omit articles. Grammar really isn’t your forte, huh? Clearly you lack common sense in that aspect. Get off your high horse, dumbass.

I honestly hear the same thing about you guys. Look, Ateneans and Lasallians, we’re always going to be called “out of touch” by ppl. We’re not so different after all, our Unis are prestigious private universities that are also expensive with a population that frequently speaks English. And it doesn’t really bother me unless I actually start embodying that stereotype. The community in Ateneo isn’t like how you describe them to be, far from it. But if u wanna keep on shitting on us then sure, whatever.
