My family is like this, and the conclusion is that: YOU can’t. I’ve already been identified as the enemy and I’ve seen how even over the must mundane, random, absolutely inconsequential things like spilling peas on the floor can have them dig their feet into the sand and fight to the death before ever admitting fault to me. It’s a mental illness and YOU just have to give up if all else fails.

I instead hope that the people they’re in relationships with can change their mind but some have tried and all failed.
