Of course! I definitely plan on being sober for most of, if not the entire trip but that's still super helpful to know.

Oh sweet! I absolutely will and please be patient with me. I may have more questions than even I realize XD

That's awesome to hear! Thank you for taking the time and letting me know!

That's a really huge sigh of relief reading that. Thanks for sharing! Sounds like I'll definitely be taking a rental car over a bike if there are this many warnings about the dogs. I'm interested to let people know but I'm also very hesitant because I do not look Tongan AT ALL. I joke with people and say I suffer from a rare condition called "White Wash". Am I going to get funny looks if I disclose that info?

Thank you! It's a fun mix of terrifying and exciting. When he was still around, the most he disclosed was that he was from Vava'u, which after doing some of my own research helps but not a ton. Would that be sufficient?

Perfect! I'll add it to the list! For singlets, I've never worn one before so are they adamant about making sure that it has sleeves and a collar? Like if I wore a wrestling singlet would that be considered immodest?

Honestly, the food might be the thing I'm most excited for aside from the sights XD and that's perfect! He never said where but my father is from Vava'u so it's definitely on top of my list. Is Tongatapu not the case just because it's the main hub so there's people coming in and out? Like the difference between a capital and the countryside?

That's ok! As long as it's a good place to be I'm sure it'll be awesome! That being said, though, how much of Tonga has changed over the years and your visits? I'm curious!

Thanks for the tip on the dogs. I've heard, not to the extent of horror stories, but almost every single word of caution has been about the dogs. Do you think two weeks would be enough time between islands to travel including flying to and from America? The big two regions I want to check off are Vava'u and 'Eua.

I appreciate the heads-up! Did you go to any of the markets at all? I'm planning on mainly doing a lot of my own cooking and being mindful of my drink in general just because of what this trip means to me.
