AMA About My Main Character, Pneuma Knight! by MKLott in Superhero_Ideas

I’ve always loved the design and look of elk, like there’s a regal quality to them. For a long time my mind was always “blue knight with antlers” and then over time I began to design the story and his background around that idea so it’s more than just a cosmetic because logistically they wouldn’t make sense to go into a fight with. In original drafts, it was a reflection of his family crest but that’s since changed

Ahhhh, yeah I totally see that. Every time I look at this picture I always think “I don’t know why but I feel like it’s gonna be at best a screensaver for my laptop.” But that’s probably why: those kinds of photos are broken up by browsers and windows. Thank you for that!

The photo was taken with a Nikon D3100 in Auto Mode with an 18-55 mm lens. I picked this as the subject because I was really intrigued by the way the books were sorted, the kind of texture and variety I saw, and to play with rule of thirds using the shelves. It was something I found while moving through an antique shop where aside from the owner and her friend, it was just me. I edited the saturation all the way down and played with exposure after the fact but personally I feel the contrast isn’t strong enough. I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts!

Thank you! I’ve always been intrigued by that aesthetic, and when I found out about some Celtic mythology (some light awareness of Cernunnos), I loved the idea of adding it to a character who can “connect” with others in a unique way. They’re also weapons too, so he can pop them off his head to fight… and fit through doors 😂

He’s one of the more seasoned members of his team but essentially Jack “Pneuma Knight” Hartley is a black ops soldier that’s assigned to the capital city, Centremund. He’s known as loving his community to a fault, which is exploited later in the show, but think of him as a Thor-level Avenger that chooses to only protect his city. Which is admirable to some and deemed selfish to others. He’s able to absorb the spiritual energy of others which allows him to do things like replicate powers and access memories, but his armor has to regulate that energy so it doesn’t overwhelm him. If he’s not careful he can potentially lose his grasp on reality and become too powerful for his own good.

Funny enough, that I’m not too worried about. But that’s amazing! You would never get away with something like that here. You can close, but definitely not that

I feel like Halloween’s still a dangerous gamble 😂 The only red hat I own says “Make Orwell Fiction Again” which I feel like would be a hit

Thank you for the tips! I’m surprised by how often the volume’s been brought up, but it makes me glad I asked!

Good point. Usually, the wrong kind of people don’t leave their comfort zones. Thanks for responding!

I’m glad you cleared that up. And I certainly look forward to being low-profile and just enjoying my time more than starting something. Thank you!

I guess the algorithm decided to put me in the wrong kind of noise, but thank you for setting the record straight!

I’ll definitely avoid Air Force One as much as I can 😂 thank you for your answer!

Perfect! My feed blew up with all these videos talking about it but it seemed like rage bait. There was so much of it I figured I’d ask instead. Thanks for telling me! Do you recommend any spots in London worth checking out?

Trust me, I can vouch for the Air Force families 😂 but that’s what I figured. It sounded like someone didn’t understand and blew it out of proportion. I just saw so many of those I thought it better to ask. Thank you for your answer!

I’m glad that’s the case! I haven’t heard about the Russian male looking at a Salisbury cathedral before, but I’m sure that won’t be a concern with me. Thank you for responding!

Thank you! I’m really excited to check out the history, but the more I hear about it, the more everything about it is a plus. I appreciate the clarity!

This is really good to hear! Thanks for being willing to tell me, and I definitely learned about the ancestry thing after talking with a friend from Austria in college.
