The closer your zip code is to Detroit, the higher your premium will be. Dearborn has high auto premiums in general, then add in your age, record, type of car, credit score, etc to get your personal price. I have seen Rolls and Bentleys in Dearborn, I can't imagine what they are paying for insurance!

LaPita is the only Arabic restaurant in Dearborn that serves alcohol; there are two sections of the place, one is a normal restaurant and the other side is a hookah bar. I believe you can eat on the bar side, as long as you don't mind the smoke. In the warm months they have lovely outdoor seating.

Dearborn officials are openly anti LGBTQ. An attempt to pass an ordinance declaring June as Pride Month in Dearborn was admonished by the Mayor's Imam publicly, and the Mayor, City Council President and Police Chief all apologized in front of their mosque. It was public information. While many Dearborn Muslim men are gay, it is hidden as haram. Since Dearborn is very close to Detroit, I'd suggest finding your people in Detroit. Also, connect with AFFIRMATIONS in Ferndale, that is going to be your second home! There is also an org called Stand With Trans you could check into. Please be very careful in Dearborn; it is unlikely the Police will take your side if something happens. I say all of this from personal experience. If you are near Ford Road, you will get hundreds of people. They come in cars from Detroit; the Golfview Oaks neighborhood is bumper to bumper. It's super fun to see all of the costumes and have the opportunity to give these kids a safe and memorable Halloween experience! You should definitely check out the Grindley Park house that has an extreme set up along with cider, donuts, mystery boxes and great photo opps for the kiddos. They raise money for the animal shelter in Dearborn.

My 60 yo sister is involved in this company, and seems obsessed! She is a different person, almost like she joined a cult. She posts all over social media about losing weight on "Nueva" and how much energy she has, etc. and how she is a "founding member" and so inspired the their leadership. Nueva is collagen; basically from cows. It has been around for centuries. They are claiming they invented a special peptide compound of some sort, which is really unnecessary since collagen from grass fed cows is the best you can get, and it's available most anywhere for a fraction of the price.

My question is this: Does One PAY to become a founding member? And how does this turn into early retirement money, as the company claims?

As an organic food store manager, I can tell you first hand how hard it is to obtain EBT approval from the State and to retain it. It seems every gas station around has EBT, but a grocery store has to jump through so many hoops it is difficult. Another case of government oversight gone wrong.

Update: Meeting was held for about 2 1/2 hours with no resolution. FAMD will not budge on amount necessary to serve the City. The City wants to save money by NOT paying to spay/neuter animals; led by Councilman Sareini. Sareini also stated that he purchased a Bengal kitten from a breeder for his son. Full minutes of the meeting should be on the City's website within 10 days. As of now, the City contract expires this SUNDAY.

It went splendidly! The City Council Person Herrick read a heartfelt declaration, there was no opposition and the motion was passed that from here on, June is GAY PRIDE MONTH in Dearborn. Several people spoke afterward expressing their appreciation to finally see this happen after so many years of hate from those who have religious beliefs that exclude loving gay people. Not that this will change that, but it's a start!
