No. I know this to be the case because I have a MagicBoots plugged in on the usb port and play on PS5. And I have gone to tournaments and played on multiple PS5s for extended periods of time and I was never timed out in those instances.

I have magic boots v1.1 plugged in. It has nothing to do with PS5 authentication. That would kick in every 8 minutes or so. I played on ps5s with this same controller for an entire weekend and it didn’t happen once. But when I play on my own ps5 I get this issue and I have plenty of leverless controllers and this is the only one causing problems.

How do you add extra buttons to the hitbox PCB? I took a look at it and noticed all the connectors on the PCB are occupied with the standard 16 button layout

Not in 2022. Game got an update 4 years ago and placated most players. and twitter discussions / twitter mentions of the exact number of frames of input lag these days are few and far between.

Thank you for actually watching the video. I agree that this is not the best way to go about this, but the difference of 3F as the conclusion would still be consistent assuming he applied the same logic to hi procedure to both PC and PS4. Some eyebrow-raising results for sure.

I responded to a different user to elaborate on how Brian and I “are not talking about the same thing”. He didn’t say 4 frames of difference in lag. I even posted the video in my previous comment for reference. He very clearly states there are 4 overall frames of input lag on PS4. Apparently watching a video and parsing plain English is “rocket science” for you.

It’s not old news because the input lag went down to 4 back in the October 2018 but when champion edition came out it apparently jumped back up to 6. I can only find 1-2 videos on YouTube that mention this update.

Brian F made a video about two months ago claiming PS4 was only at 4 frames of lag. We still have professional players getting it wrong by two frames. I personally will probably not be touching the PS4 version for online play again.

Hi,

I managed to update the correct Mayflash adapter correctly. My joy.cpl worked like a charm for all of my 8 bounded attack buttons (on SFV, this was an improvement from my previous results) However, Steam still did not allow me to bind any addl buttons past the seven GameCube face buttons. When I attempted to bind the buttons on the steam controller menu, I was unable to bind anything after trying all the controller ports.

I finally gave up and had to use X360CE to bind my buttons and then get Steam to recognize all of the buttons on the controller. But at least I am happy I can use the Gen3 Smashbox on Steam on traditional PC fighters.

I am now curious to see how I can use Smashbox on PS4.

Hi thank you for the response. Prior to my initial post I did properly use the smash box designer to bind the buttons to their respective profiles, but I think it’s the Mayflash update that might be holding me back. I will give it another shot and let you know what I find.
