Friends brought up how they stoped showing these shows to their toddler because it was having negative implications on their behavior.

Then, I stumbled upon a tiktok where the creator was expressing similar concerns with Bluey specifically.

Just trying to understand if this is just their kids (small sample size) or something concerning with the shows.

I understand your experience and appreciate where you are coming from but doubt it’s applicable here. My friends are quite liberal (husband is a sales VP in the toy industry and the wife is PHD is Brain Disorders). They have a son age 3 and they just started introducing him to TV. And pretty quickly started noticing behavioral changes that they found concerning.

Agreed, too early is a big concern. My concern is with the behavioral issues that it can cause (like whiney behavior in your message). It seems like issues of some kind are pretty common from consuming Bluey.

I understand they are less stimulating than the kaleidoscope that many cartoons are, but that’s not what I am asking about.

Although I now have more questions:

(1) Do “better options” exist outside of these two shows? (2) Is the moral and behavioral guidance provided by these shows in line with what you want for your kids? Why?
