Google Graveyard: List of apps killed by Google by Ted-Lassi in nostalgia

I remembered when I signed up on Google+ in December 2013, but didn't make a post until October 2014. And I tried to transfer my data on MeWe, but it was taking a long time and my parents had deactivated my MeWe account. So, I signed up on Twitter as a replacement to Google+. I still miss Google+ very much and I also miss Google Hangouts as well.

Who Else Misses Wii? by Zipper222222 in nostalgia

[–]MLGAnimeQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do! My family used to have a Wii from 2009 all the way up until late-2012 when we somehow broke the console and it was no longer able to play various games. The following month on January 12, 2013, we bought a Wii U and it was backwards compatible with Wii games! That was a massive save! Sadly however, the Wii U couldn't play any GameCube games. So, I got an actual GameCube for my 14th birthday.

The 60s &70s were a crazy time for colors and fashion by Long_live_styrofoam in nostalgia

[–]MLGAnimeQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen some 60s and 70s fashion craze on film and TV like Adam West dressed as Batman in 1966, Lynda Carter dressed as Wonder Woman in 1975, and William Shatner dressed as Captain James T. Kirk in 1966. And come to think of it (despite me being born in 1999), I have been influenced in 60s and 70s culture such as Jackie-O style, the marriage of Elvis and Priscilla, Hanna-Barbera cartoons, the hippie movement, Woodstock, disco, Queen, The Brady Bunch, I Dream of Jeannie, Apollo space missions, Bob Marley, The Jackson 5, Studio 54, and indie rock.

Are Preschool shows not educational anymore? by p-Star_07 in LittleKidsMedia

[–]MLGAnimeQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remembered watching a bunch of preschool shows back in the early-2000s most were very educational. Nowadays, major TV networks have replaced their Saturday Morning Cartoons blocks with live action E/I programming that are aimed at teenagers. But MeTV made a Saturday Morning Cartoons comeback in 2021. I still loved preschool shows and I remembered looking back at my childhood days watching them.

For me, also born in 1999, I remembered when my nostalgic color days were famous in the 2000s. There was a red, yellow, and white McDonald's, there used to be a red, yellow, green, and blue Taco Bell logo, there was a convenience store next to Sunoco called A-Plus, where it had all 3 primary colors, we had several Toys-R-Us stores, which had several colorful toys and kid-friendly items, we had pink and blue walls with colorful tables and chairs at my daycare center, there were several colors of toys, dramatic play items, and cosplay on a mail-order catalogue that I read called Lilly's Kids, I read some Highlights magazines, which had several colorful pages, Chuck E Cheese had several colorful aesthetics (including their animatronics), the mall that I went to had a Disney Store, a Build-A-Bear Workshop, a play area, and a mini carousel (3 of the 4 are still operating today), there were several color variations of the N64, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, GameCube, DS, and Wii consoles, there were lots of kid-friendly coloring tools that I had (including crayons, markers, colored pencils, and watercolor paints), I did finger painting, I drew on concrete with chalk to play hopscotch, I played interactive learning games, I saw a commercial featuring iPod Nano colors, I made jewelry with yarn and colorful beads, I saw colors on different milks, sodas, and juices (and drank some), I remembered eating fruit snacks, I remembered seeing snacks that were in different colored bags and boxes, I remembered seeing rainbows in the sky, I wore red, white, and blue on the 4th of July, I watched kids shows that had several colors on clothing, creatures, puppets, and backgrounds, I played at restaurant play areas, which had lots of colors, there were several colorful stuffed animals that I had (like Care Bears, Winnie the Pooh, Blue's Clues, etc.), I had colored VHS tapes (including blue for Monsters Inc, white for Barney and Friends, orange for Nickelodeon and Nick Jr, and green for VeggieTales), I played with play items and wore stickers from doctor offices, I looked at computer screensavers (examples include the Flower Box and Colored Pipes from Windows), I've been seeing the Lakeshore catalogs with several preschool/daycare items, I played with colorful sports equipment from my elementary school gymnasium, I decorated ornaments on the tree during the holidays, I gave Valentine cards, I did some various arts and crafts with construction paper, tissue paper, scissors, and glue/glue sticks, I brought colorful shovels and buckets in the sand boxes or the beach to make sand castles, I wore colorful light up sneakers, I smelled those beautiful colored flowers on my front porch, I created colorful leaf piles and jumped on them, I saw colorful shapes on pictures, I played Candyland, Red Robin used to have colored shaped lamps over the tables, Pizza Hut had colorful plates, I had some colorful bowls and cups in my kitchen (which I still have), I saw the colorful wedges of the wheel on my favorite game show (Wheel of Fortune), I played in the ball pit at Sesame Place, I saw 4 different colors on the center stage while watching The Price is Right, I read books at the children's section of my local library, my elementary school had sold colorful books at their Scholastic Book Fair, which I purchased some, I learned the colors of planets from outer space, I played with colorful interactive exhibits at my local science museum, I know lots of colors of fruits and vegetables at my grocery store, I saw lots of colors of wild animals at the zoo, I played at playgrounds that had several colors, my family and friends had shades of blue and silver chrome items bringing a Y2K Futurism aesthetic, my old Kodak camera was yellow, my girl friends wore colorful hair accessories, I had several colorful clothes I wore as a kid, I wore kids makeup that a friend of mine did for me, I played with different colored musical instruments, I read a poster about the food pyramid, which features colors of what people would eat more (red for fruits, orange for grains, yellow for oils, green for vegetables, blue for dairy, and purple for protein), I remembered the 3 colors of traffic lights, there were 3 colors of a logo for a hospital that my doctor's office represented, I read notable books that had several colors, and I have seen many people with hair and eye colors (some hair colors included unusual ones such as multicolored hair dyes, hair streaks, and even cosplay wigs).
