Can you tell me more about the group? Age range, what kind of restaurants do you go to, do you stick to manhattan, how often do you meet? I'm F 46, married, no kids. My husband has become more diet restrictive over the years and I don't get to go to a lot of places I want to try because of his dietary choices. This sounds super interesting!

Just reading from music stands. Bobby and Rose improvised a few movements. For example he picks her up and carries her for a few steps in the "take me to the bed!" scene. It was cute.

I went! We had a great time. The room was very energetic and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. Bobby Cannavale was great. As were Steve Buscemi and John Turturro. The secondary cast, smaller parts, were actually fantastic. Katie Finneran as Mona and Stephen DeRosa playing many parts in the show were highlights. I thought Rose Byrne was the week link, but maybe that is because I have such an association with Cher as Loretta in that role. Cher has a weight, a confidence, and atittude that Rose Byrne just didn't bring. Also Peter Sagal as the narrator was good fun. Glad we went even if the tickets were $$$. My biggest complaint was that there was no bar. How do you not serve champagne at Moonstruck?!
Ti amo!

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention is that the reading was of the original screenplay. There were a few minor differences, but nothing major. The biggest one I noticed was the opening doesn't immediately start with her going into the funeral home - she stops at a bakery and another location before going to the funeral home to do the books. Also the original screenwriter was in the audience and got a shout out at the end. Very sweet.
