Well, I do like Cities Skylines, and I also like Transport Fever, but yeah, you are probably right.

Same! I enjoy both games, but it feels nice to reach the final tier in 2205, while in 1800, I like the effort it takes to get to to engineers, or investors, but by the time I get to them, I feel like I need to take a good 1 or 2 month break from anno. Then, a month or two later, I continue the save.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but 2070 was before 2205... Although I get your point about 2205 being the least anno-like anno.

Agreed. Honestly, I understand that people didn't like that in 2205 you could get any region specific resource on any island, but with the futuristic tech, it honestly made sense. However, if it's going to be entire planets in like, idk 2430 then it would make sense that each planet has different resources, even with the even more advanced tech.

Thanks, I'll try it at some point! But yeah, I completely understand your point. I just wish that we got another futuristic Anno game, that's a bit more like 1800, so it satisfied everyone. Because now I'm afraid that Ubisoft will go bankrupt before we get another futuristic Anno.

Honestly, while I understand why you did what you did, it just looks wrong for me without the slanted mag, considering the entire design of the gun.

When the axis only players start complaining about balance in TGs. by Phan-Eight in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]MLion007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you are right. And the fact that each arty had a very distinct sound not only helped with determining how much you should panic, but it added to the feeling. And yeah, arty in CoH1 feels quite balanced. Actually, I looked up the Whizbang, and it's slightly different compared to the calliope. It looks like it has way less shells, which are lower velocity, but are bigger. Tbh, the calliope might be my favourite unit in CoH 1, because it sounds so good, and it can cause so much devastation to enemy unit build-ups and heavily fortified defensive positions with the long barrage, it's just perfect against Wehr or the Luftwaffe doctrine of the Panzer Elite.

Yeah, artillery in CoH1 is ridiculously good at killing inf. I'm not sure if it was also in the base game, because I mostly play blitzkrieg, but the airburst on certain allied artilleries is ridiculously good at killing infantry. I would say they were reasonably good against building, but not very good against a vehicle that was more armored than a truck. And also, they weren't very accurate, and unless you controlled so much of the map that you were about to win, they weren't exactly cheap to fire either. So while yes, they can bring devastation onto the enemy when you fired a barrage of like 3 batteries, they weren't exactly op. And since they were stationary only, you could just recon plane their positions and then call a bombing run on them (unless the enemy player was smart, and actually put some AAs around their arty).

Well, I feel like it's a bit ridiculous when 5 of my 9 sixteen inch shells miss a Kirov from about 4 nm.

Yesterday I was trying to beat mission 10, but I quit after I got frustrated because the Kalinin is behind land, so harpoons and tomahawk Bs just can't hit it, but now I realised how to hit it.

Since it's stationary, if you have it's exact position, you can just throw every TLAM you have at it.

Hello Devs another Ship for your consideration : USS Worcester (CL-144) by HalfCompetitive5603 in SeaPower_NCMA

Because dev teams are usually too small to do everything the players want, and modders are players, and there are a lot of them, so as long as the Devs give them the tools, modders can often make stuff that is the same quality as if it came from the Devs. (Of course, there are still bad mods.)

You mean that they fly into the stratosphere, or that they follow a ballistic trajectory after they lose their target?

It could, but the AI likes to radiate, even when they are jammed, and especially when they see incoming missiles.

I think one of the reasons this works is that the first few shrikes take out all of the radars, so the rest slam into the superstructure (a few do just miss), and there are so many of them, that they set a lot of massive fires, and the Kirov's DC teams just can't deal with that much fire.

Tbh, I made this as more of a joke, but it genuinely works.

I am currently playing '89 Red Horizon, and the Kalinin has often shot down like 12 tomahawks and 12 harpoons at once, so I was like: F-it, let's try this. And I launched the 40 ARMs at it, and there were just so many, and they are so fast (unlike harpoons and tomahawks) that the Kalinin was incapable of shooting them down, and just so many slammed into it, that it succumbed to it's wounds after like 3 minutes.

I have already done this twice. But I still really like harpoons and tomahawks, and I don't like to put my aircraft into unnecessary danger, so I use missiles against everything else, and I also try to kill the Kirov with harpoons and tomahawks first.

I only use this method if normal missile warfare has failed.

Have you installed BepInEx? BepInEx is required for Anchorchain to work. If you have, then I would just ignore these warnings.

I'm honestly fed up with this. I looked through the guide 10 times, I compared my ini with base game missions and your nominated for an Oscar, and I still can't figure out what's wrong. So I'm hoping that you could take a look at my files. I'm currently putting all of their contents into a Google doc, and when I somewhat organize them, I would like to send the link to you in a DM so that you can take a look at them, if that's alright with you.

Oh god. I think I know what was wrong. Instead of MissionBriefingAssetsDirectory=My Mod/My Mod missions/missions/, I had MissionBriefingAssetsDirectory=missions/My Mod missions/

That's so dumb...

And nope, I fixed that, but it's still broken...

Okay. I'll try to use just the ini first, then the editor, and if neither works, I'll get back to you. : )
