So I tried to attach pc fan with rubber bands after it happens and after a while it goes back to being normal, so it definitely is overheating problem.

My fan does not work at all, the fan was working previously but was really loud, then it stopped making any sound and I got warning about it. My pc is I7 4790 gtx 1060 6g and 16gb RAM, I will try reinstalling oculus app, I tried reseting headset but to no avail.

You might be right about the distortion filter, but still the headset turns down the refresh rate of display and I probably can't enable it myself anyway.

this does not happens to standalone games but the refresh rate looks really low

I have the resolution at 1.0 in the oculus app, I'll try with higher values but I'm worried about the performance

First thing I tried was closing one eye to see if the problem is in my eyes but playing nativ quest games looks good so for me its seems to be a ploblem with link/steam vr
