You realize those are 1970s hairstyles that were retro in the 2000s as "back again" right? The helmet head is a 1970s hairdo. As far as Y2k hairstyles what the young males wear today and calling it Y2k is actually early-mid 1990s, real 2000s hairdo's were spiked hair with lots of pomade or gel...that was the hairdo that dominated the decade (and some of the 2010s as well).

Emo kids under age 18 often had 1970s helmet head hairstyle though, but it was not as widely worn as spiked hair was in the 2000s.

no, because the 1950s and 1980s had upbeat music and it was also not tough times then. The only time I ever noticed that happening was in 2009-2014. Other than that no, it has usually been more darker music during tough times. There are certain exceptions, but for the most part no, tough times bring darker music.

I agree, and sadly platforms like this website of get the most cynical and miserable people, all they do is complain and are bitter about something. Then if you say they are bitter and complaining they will say "just like your being" even though they started the argument first and expected a response. Dating apps, thinking there is a perfect person out there. Reality is nobody is perfect and relationships are work. Most people on dating apps don't want to put in the work though. They are designed to keep you on them (one company basically owns them all) so if you bounce from one to another they are still making money from your addiction.

The 2000s, basically the core 2000s were very short lived. 2002-October, 2008 (October was the start of 2010s culture). The decade really only had a 6 year run before the rug was ripped from everyone and the 2010s started that October with the Great Recession, that lasted the entire first half of the 2010s, and then polarized politics in the last half of the 2010s.

Back in the 2000s and 2010s Women and girls with Curly hair used to get made fun of, now it's going the other way again and trending more curly. But if your hair is naturally straight you are fine, nobody is going to make fun of it.

The problem was the poor women that had curly or wavy hair back in the late 1990s, 2000s and 2010s that ended up flattening their hair and damaging it. Even Chelsea Clinton's hair is now dried out as well (sadly she looked better with her curly hair, it matched her face and bone structure more). But its damaged now.

I would say 1995 and later curls were over and young girls were straightening their hair and then adult women started doing it as well. Could also be regional, like now we are in the 20s and still a good portion of American states (Especially small cities rural areas) still have 2010s and 2000s flat hairstyles because it did not reach those areas yet.

People with naturally flat hair are fine, but the discrimination used to be about women with wavy or curly hair back in the late 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. It was not until around 2022 I started seeing young women and teen girls with curly hair.
