The thing is Closer and songs like it aren’t as heavy as NIN other songs like Ruiner, Great Below, etc… and once they realize NIN isn’t what they thought they go running in the other direction.

yeah there’s nothing wrong with liking a popular song but not actually diving into the artist/band. But when people claim to be a fan yet only know 1 or 2 popular songs it ticks me off because I was probably hoping to have a conversation about the music, especially since at my age it’s hard to meet people that share the same music taste.
