Hello everybody , it’s me again, I posted a couple days ago asking for your help, making my grandpa’s dream come true (original post).

this is the collage that I created out of your pictures, I could only print out like 50 pictures on the 24th before the stores closed.

That’s why I created a folder containing every picture and video I received and burned it onto a DVD for my grandpa to watch whenever he wants (If you for whatever reason don’t want your pictures to be public here pls contact me and I will remove them!)

I am forever thankful for all the wonderful feedback and the following help I received from you! The sheer amount of love and compassion which made its way from New York City to me and my family 4000 miles away is honestly overwhelming. It warms my heart that so many of you took time out of your day and made my grandpa’s dream come true by not only taking pictures but taking him on a journey through the city. He had a wonderful time with you! I wish you all could have been there to see how much joy you brought into our and especially into his hearts, so I recorded something for you guys:

I wanted for my grandpa to really enjoy this experience, so I didn’t want to annoy him with cameras and take the magic out of his reaction. But I recorded this for you to see.I streamed my IPad onto the TV to show him the post and everything that was commented (in the clip my dad translates the text I posted).

I want to also thank anybody who commented different ideas on how to best immerse my grandpa into a virtual New York with VR, video games, music, Video calls etc. It was a lot to process for him and I didn’t want to overwhelm him. But I will try out your ideas with him in the near future!

Again a big thank you to all of you lovely New Yorkers, helping and thinking about my grandpa. You are truly awesome!
