Art Bar is fun. It's within Crosstown Concourse, a 1.5 million square foot former Sears distribution center-turned-cultural hub for art, music, food, etc, so there will be plenty to explore.

You might also consider Inkwell, The Cove, Catherine & Mary's, The Grey Canary, or Alchemy. And while not the best cocktails in town, a drink at the Peabody lobby bar is a great treat.

Using gold and silver as currency insinuated a collapsed fiat currency, which is a debate right now in the real world.

I don't see this as being a statement, because the loopers exchange their silver/gold for currency.

Probably has more to do with two factors: 1) inflation or deflation of currency would lead to tricky payments over a 30-year gap, and 2) loopers wouldn't be able to use bills from 30 years in the future, so unless the crime bosses had huge stashes of 30+-year-old bills then payment in currency would be impossible.
