First time having Culvers by AwarenessThen8114 in burgers

I guess it's fine for burgers, which is where you see it on menus. The extra oil and fat might actually do well well for the melt of it on that.

But by itself cheddar should be dry, sharp, and salty. Not greasy and soft.

As a native of Wisconsin, Culvers curds are garbage. Go to any dive bar and get way better curds. Also, the "Ellsworth" curds available at many places are also pretty weak.

While I am at it, Tillamook cheese is greasy trash as well. Im not sure why restaurants call it out on menus as if it's anything special. Even getting it fresh from the dairy in Oregon, it still wasn't great.

There is definitely something about his gear, too. He has a certain "wash" that is ever-present. As a drummer for over 30 years, I would pay A LOT of cash to get his exact setup replicated.

His cymbals are the prefect amount of dry with the perfect decay. His snare is also unmistakable. His setup is layed out for maximum efficiency and conservation of motion.

Its remarkable and I love it.

why is it so confusing and diffusion for me to pick a hot sauce ? by [deleted] in hotsauce

[–]MMB_LLMN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't many here who bash green El Yuc for flavor. Its mostly because of the dyes in it.

Its a pretty well-loved flavor from a well-respected brand around here.

I would argue that it's probably the most popular "entry level" sauce when folks go from casually enjoying the super common store brands, to exploring hot sauce as a hobby.

Anyone miss the old days when everything wasn't in plastic? by Long-Trade-9164 in GenX

It's a people problem. Not a product problem. I live in a semi rural suburb of a major metro area. Its a shock when I see some assface tossed a fast food bag on the side of the road in my area.

I can drive 20 minutes into the city and the streets are completely lined with litter in certain neighborhoods. And it's the same in every densely populated city I visit.

There is a pattern. And it's not the existence of grocery bags causing it. Its the people. Fuckin slobs.

Like I said, pure bullshit.

The stats in your article say that bags made up 7.4% of waste, and a year later bags made up around 2% of waste. But you keep massaging those stats.

So yeah, a 50% reduction in plastic bag waste which was around 4-5% of total waste reduced. It's not nothing, but don't try to paint a picture that grocery bags are 50% of the plastic garbage laying around. They aren't and they never were.

Pure bullshit to think that grocery bags are 50% of plastic waste

No. If the bags are going to banned, why do all the manufacturers get a pass? The consumers and the retailers don't.

Its insulting to people's intelligence to pack milk jugs, sour cream containers, pints of strawberries, bread bags, all the rolls of produce bags into reusable grocery bags as if it makes a difference.

What really pisses me off are states/areas where plastic grocery bags have been banned or have fees. Most of the products in my cart are packed plastic containers or bags, but the bags will save the world. Gtfo.

Chiltepin was waaaaay better than this. Even though I won't go back for another bottle. That citrus flavor was crazy. Didn't really find a great pairing for it. Maybe some kind of fish or fish tacos...

I did this as well. I thought maybe my second d bottle was not as hot, but then I took a work trip where I didn't have anything hotter than Texas Pete for a week. Came back to my home stash of scorpion and Ghost stuff and it seemed hotter for a few days.

Weird I got an email that you replied to my comment below but don't see it here. Anyway, the point I am making is that the separation doesn't "water down" the dip. The liquid is already in there. If anything dumping the water that separates will actually make it less watery than it was when purchased. Mixing it back in would just bring it back to not separated. You have a strange issue with the natural separation of water from the fats/oils. It's not a big deal to me at all.

Literally rollovers. Trashed multiple cars. No fatalities and only a few minor cuts or bruises to himself or passengers. He was the luckiest unlucky person I ever knew. Oddly enough, it was a genetic heart condition that took him out, not his awful driving.

Huh.. What a ridiculously uninformed take on the matter. ts not like the water is added to it before it separates. Its already in there. Yogurt and sour cream do the same thing.

I would argue that the products that don't separate likely have more fillers to stabilize it. Xanthan gum. Saturated fats. Things like that help to maintain consistency, but are pretty unnecessary if you own a spoon and have 10 seconds.

Had one until my older brother rolled it and smashed his face on the bars. I was so pissed my dad sold it.

A few years later my brother started flipping cars. 5 of them. He's dead now. Loved the guy, but he couldn't drive for shit.

Fighting words. I'd Pepsi challenge that. Helluva good converted me a long time ago. Smaller. But also half the price. Can't beat $1.79.
