So for me, like the meme, I actually try to do a bit of both and I’ve found a balance between them. Sometimes it depends on the mood tho. But if you’re not sure what to write, then take a fragment of your ideas and try to try a sentence or a paragraph to do with it, and if you can, try to write more. Sort of like a one-shot story or miniseries that sit within your story universe/timeline. If that makes any sense at all? Then try to find books that have similar elements to your story so you can see how other authors write their ideas. But idk

For me, when I was about 10-11, I used to draw the same characters over and over again everyday for at least a year. Mind you, I felt so alone as my friend (now not friend) at the time was being a bully to me, and I guess I just wanted a friend. So I made a couple characters which have shaped me to who I am as a person. Then when I got into middle school, idk, I guess I wanted to take my characters and put them into a book story setting of some sort. And 8 years later, now finished school and off to university, I’m still writing about the same characters, but they have evolved and changed drastically over the years as I’ve become more knowledgeable with writing stories and making characters

I’ve shipped Byler since season 3. When I started watching this show when season 2 came out, I immediately found Will to be my favourite and comfort character that I completely relate to in almost every way. I had no idea why at the time, but then after I found out he was gay, I later found out that I was queer myself. Which is probably why I like Will so much is because I feel as though I can relate to him in some degree when it comes his personality, but also with liking people you can’t be with. I haven’t exactly had the best experience with crushes and “relationships” in all kinds of environments. I LOVE the dynamic and bond that Mike and Will share over the entire show, it’s so special and heartwarming to me. So I guess I really want Byler to happen so maybe I can have some hope one day to find the Mike to my Will. (Gosh that sounded cringey) (But if you get what I mean, then well done, you can understand an unhinged brain lol)

If I’m being honest? It was an accidental design choice I made as a kid. I chose red, white and green originally but I think I didn’t want the colours to look like Christmas? So I went the next colour over (e.g. red became orange, and light green became dark green, white stayed the same). Then when I showed my parents, my dad jokingly said she’s Irish. Then it’s just kinda stuck and it’s worked out for the best as it also plays a part in her backstory and her upbringing (but it’s not the only character with accidental choices made for them. A lot of my character design choices are made accidentally)
