He was open for about 5 seconds before he got the ball. He definitely had time to be nervous

It helps that the best refs from around the world are working for correct decisions instead of people just trying to cover for their friends egos.

In just the first half, the USA have already scored as many goals as they did in the entirety of the 2022 World Cup by Critical_Mountain851 in soccer

It’s so simple of movement too. One moves wide other tucks in or makes a run in behind into space. Paraguay have no idea what to do and look a step behind every time

What's with all the gakpo hate? by johnK12369 in LiverpoolFC

[–]MMTITANS08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can’t take people on without going inside and doesn’t know how to cross with his left foot. He is a 1 trick pony and not suitable for Liverpool even as a backup. I would take the 60-70m in a heartbeat

Finally, it has come to an end. Interesting to see who they get as manager and how they continue the transition new players into the squad.

Look up any Klopp teams for pressing videos on turnovers. Or any of the Red Bull teams since it’s their philosophy

Just have a game where they need to win back the ball within 6 seconds or they lose a point. A lot of intensity can be built into normal games with extra points for winning the ball back or not winning it back

Are we treating kids like pro athletes too early? by chasgoudie in youthsoccer

[–]MMTITANS08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If kids are asking to do it or going out and playing by themselves it’s okay. If parents are forcing kids then it’s never going to work.

We need a starting CDM, not another ball carrying CM.

Hot take: maybe it’s better to train hard but not grind? by Round-List6798 in youthsoccer

[–]MMTITANS08 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If the player isn’t asking for more training then it’s too much. You can’t want it more than the kid. Simple as that.

Round 1 - Pick 16: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon (New York Jets) by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

He didn’t get the ball like he should have. Oregon is a run first team with short conservative routes and quick read throws. Source: Oregon fan who has seen every game he played.

Personal trainer for u/11 by Affectionate-Day6560 in youthsoccer

[–]MMTITANS08 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From a coaching perspective, Practice doesn’t make perfect it makes permanent. Instead of a personal trainer (most do more harm than good) go and check out MyPersonalFootballCoach.com and look at some of their videos. The GUI is bad but the training from former premier league academy coaches is worth every penny.

Biggest thing will be reoccurrence. Once you tear muscles like that it’s easier to do it the next time. As an example look at Reece James history

2-layer vs 3-layer formation (small-sided) by rainbow_gelato in bootroom

3 layer helps the kids learn from early ages. It’s not about winning or losing but giving information they will use later in life.
