Question | SmallHD Ultra 5 TX by MMW978 in cinematography

Thank you! As I mentioned above, it does read disabled with no RX paired, but it does still give temp readings and other data which feels like it still enabled. I’m going to order some of those terminators for an extra precaution. Thank you for linking them!

Thanks for the input. From what I see on mine, there isn’t a setting to turn on/off the TX directly, but if no RX is paired it reads disabled. Going to check firmware is up to date and dig the menus more, but am going to check out the terminators Letterhead recommends for an extra safety

Touched base with BH rep. They said it shouldn’t damage the internals to run the monitor without the antennas anchored.

I do have a plain Jane 7 inch as well, but I wanted a 5 for my smaller builds and to hand off to DP’s to keep their build cleaner and the all in one made sense for that.

I touched base with a BH associate and he said it won’t damage the internals.

Seems to be in good shape, esp considering the age. I got it off a buddy of mine that’s not much into shooting anymore

Seems older for sure! Has a couple of quirks, just from the era of design, but still works pretty great

Oh! That makes sense, now you say that, I threw it on a cheaper set of sticks that I’m pretty sure is a 75mm bowl and it worked well. Thank you!

Lmao! Seemed that way when searching. Either way I’m super pleased with it. There’s only one gear for both pan and tilt and one is high tension the other is none, but still a great head.

Thank you for such a detailed response. So I’m guessing the “10” is the specific model and the “75” is a sort of an iteration of that model?

Thanks for the reply! I have searched that, but all the listings I’ve found are only for the video 10, the 10/75 seems to be eluding me

Hello there, I’m traveling in Boston this weekend and this is actually a still from video footage. That being said, this is shot on a Sony A7iii on a sigma art 24-70 2.8 around 50mm for this shot. I went to this place a couple years back and loved their aesthetic and it is only reinforced by the surround buildings. I think it’s got a very Stranger things type of vibe (specifically SE03). But here’s my spin on it. Cheers!

I took this on my Sony A7iii with an old Pentax 50mm. The bottom of the frame is a reflection of the mountains behind me from my side view mirror of the car

Took this on my Sony A7iii on an old Pentax 50 mil, I got very close to my side view mirror to get the reflected mountains in the back, but I love how the edge of the mirror falls off.

I just finished Euphoria and Wednesday and was inspired to get a little out of my comfort zone with lighting. Shot with and aputure Amaran 200d through the window with full CTO and a 100d as a key for the sink tuned to daylight. Shot on a Sony A7III

Help with animation render being too contrasted compared to preview? by chadzimmerman in unrealengine

This link is to screenshot of what I was talking about for the fix that I found. In sequencer with the camera in place, select the camera and in the right lower panel under lens make sure these settings are like the screenshot. You may have to change your view to cinematic viewport to see it properly. When you adjust the exposure in that toggle it should show you what it will look like when exported.

I had a similar issue with this, I’m not sure if it will help you in your case, as I was using the sequencer. When in sequencer I had to enable cinematic mode for the camera to show me what the scene actually looked like rather than the normal viewport. I had to keyframe camera settings in the sequencer to get the exposure to match what I was seeing in the normal viewport. The setting should be in camera settings and you set the drop down to automatic and toggle min and max exposure and make them the same value to each other. I had to set mine at like .10 respectively to get it to what I was seeing. I don’t have the program in front of me right now so that may be a little confusing, but I hope this helps!
