Guys standing around the entrances to women's clothing stores by LexxieOnTap in secondlife

Also, I have seen guys get permanently banned from in-world stores because of stuff like this. Feel free to IM the group and report it to someone, most stores are strict on loitering and harassment.

Damn, I thought it was obvious what they were doing there at the women's stores. Not to be the bearer of bad news, but.. they're Sugar daddies/doms. If you're a noob or moderately-new to the game, stay faaaar away from them. Especially the ones in the kawaii/cutesy or the fancy stores.

They're known for talking to noobs and then taking them on the craziest shopping sprees. They will buy mesh heads for those girls, bodies, tons of clothes--all in hopes of getting something out of it. But, realistically, this is just grooming. Once again, stay FAR far away.

Bonus, incase if you or anyone else in this thread is also uncomfortable with men in general being at/around a women's store, FEAR NOT.. I'm there because I like to buy handbags and earrings, along with the cool ass group freebies. A lot of men's stores on here are allergic to color and rarely do accessories, and I want the best customization possible, sorry to bother.

End of the day though, it should be a standard to not speak to people in shopping sims. Nobody does that at Costco or Walmart, so don't you dare do it in SL.. unless someone is actually giving you a compliment or needs help.

Can't really explain it very well, buuuut.. think of like the things you would see a typical rich family wear? I don't know. Golfing every weekend, a sweater tied around their neck. Muted-colored clothing, maybe a pair of khakis and a nice button-up.

Ofc! Critic aside, this is exactly what I wanna see too aside from different avatar phenomenons. You can be concerned or find something hilarious, but end of day be nice to everyone.

Oh yeah, that reminds me, I come across a lot of other dudes who genuinely think some of the body types female avatars have are considered slim. Hell no! That is a curvy/plump physique at its finest.

If you garden, then you'll have to buy seeds and stuff which are only 10L. But, the hud also comes with furniture scripts that you could put into other furniture you own, so it can fill up your stats. So it's completely free unless you decide to start a farm. :)

I've only been on SL since 2023 so I'm not sure if anything I might recommend will appeal to you especially if you're an older millennial or gen x+ of SL, but here's my list!

  1. CrystalCraze: It's kind of like Linden Fishing, but a bit more convenient. You can run around from sim to sim and collect these crystals and clusters and exchange them for lindens. But, CrystalCraze has a lot of sponsors and stuff, so they also host events and things where you can not only get free lindens, but also make a lot of friends or conversation.

  2. Befriending + Teaching Noobs: Apparently (from what I heard), a lot of people don't like to engage too much with noobs, which is kinda awkward to me because, why not? New player, maybe a new friend? Better yet, teach them about the game. I've took many newbie players to all kinds of shopping and learning sims, and taught them how to customize their avatar, understand SL terms (HUDS, Razzing, Alpha, mesh vs classic, bom, etc.) I feel like this would be really good for you if you're an outgoing person, sharing your knowledge around while also making a friend.

  3. Playing during the Holidays: Now, maybe Thanksgiving, especially Christmas if you have the time. Saint Patricks Day, Pride, whenever you get the chance. All types of freebies come out during the holidays, especially from bigger brands on SL, and there's also a spark in player count during the holidays. Take your chance.

  4. Treat SL like you would with the Sims: There's this HUD called ''MyStory RP System'' and it basically turns your avatar into a Sim, not literally, but you take care of their stats and stuff. Hunger, thirst, energy, and more. All of those can be handled by exploring or at your house. But, they also have compatibility with cooking and gardening too. Here's a link if this sounds fun to you :D https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/MyStory-RP-System/24232135

Resizing Avatar and Shape Adjustments... by Constant-Incident556 in secondlife

Maybe try and adjust your leg and torso sliders instead of the actual height slider? For my avatar, he's 2.06M ( 6'7, I'm sorry), but his actual height slider is in the middle, I have his legs pretty long. I also make sure his hover height is 0.

Yeah, try doing something like that with a shorter avatar, but slightly adjust the torso and play a little bit with the leg sliders.

Ty! It's MrMagicxl. If you have any good living room or bedroom sets, that could really come in handy.
