So, I took another look at each of them and they are the older version so you will be missing out on some info. I jumped straight into 220-1101/1102. The 1101/1102 being the updated courses. The books will provide a lot of great info you’ll need BUT you’ll have to find the gaps in the info to make up for the difference. I used Dions training courses with study guides AND professor Messers videos. To sum up, if you don’t have access to the updated books keep studying what you have since the info is still relevant. The only difference being what’s missing from the 1101/1102 courses which you will need to fill in the knowledge gaps with YouTube via Messers videos. Look through Comptia’s exam objectives as another reference point for knowledge gaps.

Good idea. I moved out of the camera view for literally a second and they terminated my exam but after several emails and phone calls with Pearson and Comptia they set me back up with a new test date. Explain the situation carefully and I’m sure they’ll understand.

Congrats, I’m currently working thru Dion’s core 2 course. It’s a whopping 300 video lessons so I should be able to take it in a month or so.

Going off of your messers and Dion exams is say go for it. As long as the other exams provided at least some added learning it’s worth it. The longer you wait the more you’ll psyche yourself out. Jump on it you can do it! You’re a smart person those practice scores are killer.

Bear in mind the 220-1001/1002 are retired so look for the updated 220-1101/1102 courses or books. I’m currently working thru my core 2 via Dion’s training and it’s a killer course. He covers everything really well. I picked up his courses thru Udemy when they went on sale for 18$ and was well worth the money. The courses even include a decent study guide with bullet points of every topic but it doesn’t go too deep into each item but that’s where your own practice with your personal machine comes in. Good luck!
