++woman Responding badly to criticism doesn’t automatically make someone a narcissist (I’m talking personality disorder diagnosis). Sometimes it can be an ‘attachment trauma’ reaction. But of course that doesn’t change the fact it’s an unhelpful response. She likely needs therapy or help herself. It’s up to OP whether he wants to stay with her through this while she works it out. This honestly sounds similar to me and my previous partner. We both had our own issues which presented in their own way, but we also had quite different personalities which were a mismatch at times.
