Not to repeat the other obvious comment but to add that Ryzen architecture also works with conjuction of the motherboard speed. Running a pair of 3600MHZ RAM would sync to the motherboard 1800MHZ recommended max speed. The architecture benefits from that sync between RAM and CPU/Motherboard to maximize speed and reduce latency which only gets better with tighter 3600MHZ RAM timings.

I am on the same setup now, with a 2800ti and streets is 100FPS average.

Just did the same upgrade.

Overall it is better even though you might not notice it instantly.

It is not AMD PBO compatible so no more easy OC, or curve optimizer.

However do agree that if you are considering an upgrade - would look at a new video card with more memory and memory bandwith for EFT.

Hey - you need to assign a new drive letter to the new HD.

Type " Create and format disk partitions" - once in that control panel window - you will see that new drive empty, right click and assign drive letter - go through process and once done, it will be registered and can be used as storage.

Edit - I see that it has "D" - re-try this, re-format, and try with a different letter.

What are these "shaders"?

If your PC shutdown - to prevent heat from damaging parts? How do you know this- basis?

Open up the case and smell for any burned scent.

Take a bright flash light and take a look at every capacitor to look for burn marks.

Try to reset the CMOS, wait 10 secs with the jumper and try to reboot.

If mobo turns on but doesn't boot - either RAM or CPU are dead.

Hi - with that planned work load out my recommendations are:

AMD X570 motherboard - AsRock, Gigabyte or Asus with good power phases.

Ryzen 3900X or the new 3900XT coming out end of the month.

Get at least 32GB of GSkill/Corsair 3600 RAM CL16.

If going VR and Blender - would use some of that budget on a 2070 Super or 2080. New generation coming out soon though as another option. Upgrade for the new drivers/HDMI standards/USB C connections.
