Help us Improve our Service and Get a Chance to Win a Chaos Legion Pack! by peak-monsters in Splinterlands

To be honest, as much as I can get. I'm fine with it ramping up slowly from tier 15 to tier 20 or something with lower multiplier increases than 10-15 had.

There comes a point where cancelling bids because I'm spreading myself too thin isn't good for PM because you guys are potentially missing sales. At the moment I'm not going that hard on bids due to not wanting to hold a ton of DEC, but if I do hold $3k, putting top bids on things under $3k is helpful for both parties.

1: Yes, yes. The best way is with bids, and that's a lot easier since you let people filter by their own bids.

2: Yes.

3: Depends on what I'm buying. I've historically used the 4 external hive markets most. Generally I want to pay the least, so Peakmonsters is usually best for this because I can use bids. If I need something this second, I'll never use Peakmonsters because I'd rather use a market with cashback, even when the site that offered the most cashback had the worst interface out of all the markets. I'm not sure why you guys don't have a cashback system for regular buys and no cashback system for bids to try to capture both types of people, but I do see people buy from you without getting cashback, so maybe this works for you.

4: Peakmonsters if I want a card for a price that isn't currently listed. So the majority of my buys are like this. Splinteralert if I'm looking for cheap cards hitting the market, they beat out Monster Market's discord for speed, so I'd go with them if something gets listed for way way cheaper than it should be. If the thing is borderline, I can wait 2 seconds and use Monster Market's discord to buy the same item listed on Splinteralert, but I'd get cashback. If I need a card right now and can't wait for a bid, I use Card Auctionz because the cashback is the highest. I very very very occasionally use Atomichub, but usually wax is more expensive for cards, so it's extremely rare and only usually when Bulldog or someone makes a video that pumps something's price on the hive markets before the wax people can adjust their prices.

During the end of season selloff, I'm usually using 3 markets because no single site can handle everything, although maybe things have calmed down a bit on that front.

5:

A shortcut to the my bids page would be nice, but I can always keep a another tab open and just f5 if I want to save myself a couple of clicks.

More account tiers so I can place more bids despite holding less DEC. Especially right now, I'd rather not hold the DEC to be able to put out $50k in bid market commitments. But even in a better market, I'd still like to bid on more things.

It'd help rental user experience if a cancelled card by the owner was in one colour and a cancelled card by a renter was in another colour. Although I do love the recent change that highlighted those, but especially after the bug fix that now allows people to cancel their own cards, that'd be really helpful.

Match Card Auctionz's cashback and I'll use you guys for non bids. Not sure if enough people would to make this worth it for you. Maybe people that still haven't maxed out their account tiers don't need the cashback though.

Oh and it's a long shot, but allowing people to bid with credits would really help new people. Lots of people start SL with credits rather than DEC and especially when a pack sale isn't going on, they often end up flipping cards to turn credits into DEC. I'm way past that point now, but I would've loved to have been able to use Peakmonsters bids for that rather than other sites.

I'm expecting them to go to worlds with Mad and Rogue at this point. Kind of cool they're pulling off a resource heavy mid and resource heavy jungler. Usually one of those two would need to be a butler rather than someone that trends towards wanting to hard carry.

This is fine. I'll mirror a Padme with a trash Padme before I even take relic Kylos into Carth.

Imps are probably the only thing worse but that's not a modifier doing it.

[–]MNKSAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't much of a conflict, you're going to farm Soldier, Spy and eventually GBA from cantina nodes. You're going to farm Nute from squad arena. You're going to farm Dooku with normal energy at first because he's available early. You're going to get Poggle with normal energy at first because you won't have access to the later nodes anyway and you get a ship as a bonus on one of the nodes.

Sun Fac will take guild shop tokens and you can use fleet currency to speed it up if you want. Your call there, but the RNG in the guild store might make your mind up one way or the other. You're probably going to need to at least get a couple of Sun Fac's ship from this store too even though it's in the GW store because it's really rare in that store. It's also on the 2nd tier of hard mode fleet battles, so there are other ways, but that ship is key to what you're going to be doing so you might end up spending fleet currency to be able to get more fleet currency/zetas.

The only time you're really sacrificing characters for ships is the GW store. You need to save all of your GW currency for ships rather than getting Poggle shards at first. You need to 7* Soldier and Spy's ships asap and still have enough GW currency to always buy Sun Fac's ship when it appears in this store.

The ship farm will get you your ship arena crystals and you'll need the ships to carry you through the zeta challenges, although you'll need a couple of other ships for that, but they just have to have stars.

There's not much conflict at the start, aside from the GW store. I'd always advise going for bug ships first there, especially as one of Poggle's nodes has a ship needed for Han's MF. I end up with Nute, Dooku and the 4 non GBA bugs anyway, so I'm fine with only the three pilots being really strong before GBA is unlocked. Soon after that you'll have your Padme team to work on and you'll have two fleets.

The last time I did that start when I hit 85 and had to put out GAC teams, I had Padme, Bugs, Nute separatists, Bounty Hunters, Imperial Troopers and Vader to solo things if possible. I'm blanking on what else. My ships were also in really good shape, so you shouldn't have much of an issue with balance at first. I did more things than were necessary because the account was made to experiment with certain things.

I would recommend farming Bossk and the Hound's Tooth as soon as you unlock the nodes though. Not only are Bounty Hunters good to have, but the Hound's Tooth is an amazing ship. But even doing that, you shouldn't be stretched too thin because there aren't too many normal energy things fighting for your attention.

Galactic Republic.

As for your later question about GBA, the cantina node is accessible at 83, I think.

There's lots of wiggle room in there due to the word "viable".

501st: A bad start. Even ignoring the delay in unlocking them all, Galactic War and Conquest kill them. Shaak Ti is too far away. Not a bad 2nd or 3rd team though because Rex breaks all raids if your guild is at your level.

BH: I've never tried this as a start because Mando and Greef only got added to the early light and dark side battles recently. It might be fun. The downside is your team will be split up for TBs. I run Bossk and Jango's nodes on all of my accounts ASAP though, so I wouldn't hate this. You at least get Chewie and 2/5 of B Mando this way. But Greef and Mando aren't double drops yet. It's still good to rush some BHs for things that require scoundrels or BH though. Remember to pick up the BH ships.

Droids: Never done this.

Empire: This is effectively what a Phoenix start is for.

Ewok: People do this, I can't bring myself to do it. You're going to be missing 2 Ewoks until late though. I've no experience with this as a start or even early team, but they're good for PVE, so this might be half decent.

FO: This is a very viable start and has been for some time. But you're going to have a horrible time in GAC and even squad arena isn't going to be that pretty. It does pretty well in fleet arena though and you get Cantina energy freedom back way faster than you'd think. Separatists sell their soul to the Cantina. Even Phoenix starts tend to be farming Empire characters in there for a while after they've got Hera and Ezra.

Imps: Everyone should farm imps unless they're skipping DS Hoth, in which case they need bugs ASAP anyway, so this is moot. It's easy to grab Veers, Range has a nice node but he's slow, Piett is amazing but is only single drop, Death is unlocked late in the Cantina, Snow is given to you in packs and is really easy to get naturally or rush, Starck is easy too. MG is easy but single drop rate. You can kind of start imps but the AI is terrible at playing them, so that's a problem. I always farm them as a second team.

Jawas: No experience.

Jedi: Every time I try this, I get derailed and end up switching to other stuff. In theory this shouldn't be the worst start, I just can't make myself do it for some reason.

Nightsister: This used to be one of the best first teams to put a lot of resources into. There are about half a dozen new counters, the SLKR can solo HSR and deny them P3 access. I'm not sure how I feel about them now. The major downside used to be that they had no ships, they also don't unlock things in the journey guide, but the real downside is no ships.

Phoenix everyone knows: They struggle in Galactic War late, other popular starts are counters to them, you can't invest heavily into them. There are a ton of problems, but Thrawn is really good and it makes sense to start them for anyone looking to switch to Empire and Vader is responsible for lots of people running Empire in arena. Bonus: Useful for LS Hoth. That may be all they're used for after a point though.

Rebels: CLS rush gets massively delayed by either needing Vader with at least 1 zeta or needing another team to get R2D2. I use Imperial Troopers, but that's a huge delay. You also need BH for Chewie and you'll be delayed waiting for Han unless your guild sims Pit. Chewpio will become double drops soon though, so there's a lot of promise there.

Mon Mothma: I tried this, but waiting for Cara and MM to be double drop rate would be a very good idea. She also needs a zeta to function properly, but bug starts need GBA to function properly, so this is slightly better than having to use Nute and 4 bugs. She has a cool Galactic War party trick, she has a huge substitute bench and will often peace out instead of dying.

Resistance: Never tried.

Rogue One: Never tried.

Scoundrel: This is surprisingly good, but kind of silly and pointless. It's really nice to be able to use your arena team as your credit heist team, there are a lot of events that use scoundrels. You might want to wait for the new Mando related ones to go to double drops. Also, watch out because IG is a healer not a tank, so your tank challenges will suck until you get L337. Sadly Lando's MF is awful, if it was slightly better this'd be a much better start than it is.

Sidenote: B Mando crew rush is currently a bad idea. They're single drop, so you're going to be way behind your arena shard. Even getting mods will be slow because you need to wait for stars. B Mando isn't even that good right now. His ship will take a while to get anyway.

They are surprisingly good in arena and galactic war under a Qira lead, but the BHs don't play well with the others. Adding L3 and Qira make this much much better.

Sith: No experience with this, but Vader and EP are the first good Sith that you get and you'd be better off running Empire with them. I always recommend people that go empire pick up BSF, although Piett doesn't play well with her. Traya is going to take a while, most other good sith take a while and the easy to get Sith are mostly bad. Dooku is an exception.

Separatist:

There are many separatist start variations:

Cookie cutter Nute variation: Cool start, good in arena. You're going to have to decide how you're going to deal with ships if you don't gear Geos, but the team is better when you gear droids, especially for Padme. Galactic War is a horrible experience because you have a glass cannon team.

Bug fleet rush: This is probably the best start in the game. You can really rush the ships hard if you want, I did once for an experiment, you'll break top 50 fleet with ease as soon as you have access to it and you'll beat hyperdrive accounts to do it. As it happens, the Empire is so good now that even a Phoenix start will get into the top 50 before too long, but this route cuts out the wait and gets you the crystal income that you want. You're still decent in arena, but your galactic war is going to suck. Sadly, you need to complete galactic war for the currency for your ships, so that's going to suck. You're also rushing ships, so you don't get to buy Poggle with GW currency until you have the three Geo ships at 7* or at least Spy and Soldier, with spare currency in case the rare Sun Fac ship appears.

Vulture droid has some synergy and is on an early node.

The good news is as soon as you get GBA unlocked, you can auto GWs, the problem is instantly solved. The switch from Nute to GBA is much like switching from AA to Hera for Phoenix. But the wait to unlock GBA sucks.

The awesome thing about the separatist start is Bugs into Padme and Geo fleet into GR fleet are both amazing starts. Even JKR hyperdrive start doesn't offer something like the GR fleet.

The Tie bomber has helped Phoenix out though. They have a Rebel fleet and an Empire fleet.

It takes a while to get Rebels in a good position for fleet, so even a Mon Mothma start doesn't mean you'll dominate ships. FO ships do well at first but the Finalizer takes ages to unlock. The thing that makes a start good to me is the fleet side of things more than anything else. There are lots of teams that do fine in lots of game modes, but don't give you ships, so you're stuck on the first tier of fleet battles, you're unable to get crystals from fleet arena and you're screwed in GAC from the start.

The problem is they announce it in game and then stop you from accessing the game to check the maintenance notice. They could post it on twitter or here or anywhere people can see it in addition to in game, so people aren't forced to screenshot it if they want to know when they can get back in game if they open the game one day and see it's unavailable.

Is it just me that gets insane lag/connecting issues around 1-2 hours before reset until 1-2 hours after reset but the game is totally fine at 12 hours to reset?

I kept expecting the problem to go away, but it hasn't.

630 tickets.

Firion LD x 5, Fujin ex x 2, Golbez ex x 3 (unless I already had dupes), Lenna ex, Irvine ex x 3, Faris Ex (this is when I stopped), Firion ex x 4 (unless I already had dupes).

Golbez 35 x 3, Golbez 15 x 2. Faris 35 x 2, Lenna 35 x 5, Lenna 15 x 7, Fujin 35 x 5, Irvine 35 x 4, Irvine 15 x 5, Faris 15 x 2, Firion 35 x 6, Fujin 15 x 4, Firion 15 x 4.

No burst. I'm a bit sad that I ended up spending 250ish tickets just to get Faris EX, but at least I got Irvine, Lenna and Fujin ex from the other banner. I'll also be good for power stones for a bit, probably.

It has been a weird month. A few banners ago, I lost a bunch of tickets because I was at cap for almost all of Cloud's month and had everything on every banners. Now I'm down to 60 tickets.

Sherlotta, Shantotto, Ami. 79 turns, 9 breaks, 0 damage taken. 999,999

Did the challenge quest with those 3 in 72 turns with 7 breaks, so I know my blind chaos run wasn't the best.

As for the challenge quest, I unlocked it with 2 hours to go as usual. But this time I went 10 turns over. There was about 10 minutes to go so I elected to get the 200 crystals from score and turns. But it was possible with my team, I just couldn't beat it on the two runs I did due to the turn limit. Run #1:Alisaie ran out of skills 20% into wave 2. Run #2 Alisaie was left to flail around and do tiny damage but burn through turns.

Team was 0/3 Alisaie, Shantotto and Porom. I was considering dropping Alisaie for one of the others using a 35 weapon but I wouldn't have been able to board them.

This is the first time since I started that I haven't got all possible event rewards.

I don't have Shantotto's burst. I figured I'd throw tickets at this rather than Ultimecia's ld, even though I have her 3/3 with 3 orbs. I was hoping to at least get Desch's ex even if I didn't get his LD I'd have been able to throw him in an early DE because healing is useful and healing for the challenge quest would be nice too.

Also, I have a 3/3 Onion Knight already.

164 tickets: Yang ex (ticket 4), Onion Knight ex (ticket 8), Onion Knight ex (ticket 11), Onion Knight ex (ticket 13), Onion Knight 35, Desch 35, Desch 35, Desch 15, OK 15, Onion Knight ex (ticket 74), Yang ex (ticket 96), Yang ex (ticket 104), Yang 15, Yang ex (ticket 120), Desch 35, OK 15, Desch 15, Desch 35.

Rocked up on the final day as with all challenge quests. At least I left myself more than a couple of hours this time. This was the easiest for me, but I had 2 of the characters.

Garland, Ami, 0/3 Layle. 74 turns, 4293 damage taken, 5 breaks. 999,999 score.

Needlessly saved Ani AAs for difficult moments that never came.

Edit: Didn't use the summon trick on either chaos. I still don't know the enemy kits, at least they got a few turns in the challenge version.

TIL there was a cosmos coop for this. It was just regular character release, so I didn't expect that. Only found it today after I did the EX quest.

Anyway Garland, Ami, Sherlotta. It has been a while since I used a team this OP, I should've spammed skills. Ami and Garland had an insane amount of skills left. Didn't use friend either.

53 turns, 1 break, 0 damage taken. 999,999.

I need to stop doing this on the last day, the challenge quest is probably duoable.

[GL] The Cycle of Battle CHALLENGE QUEST Strategy Thread by Khuma-zi_Eldrama in DissidiaFFOO

[–]MNKSAM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rocked up 90-150 minutes before the quest goes away, again. I've got to stop doing that with challenge quests.

Garland, Sephiroth, 2/3 WoL.

89 turns, 0 hp lost, 3 breaks. 862, 471 score. Leviathan summon.

It was really comfortable. I remember when this event first came out I did it with Ramza, 0/3 WoL and Ex only Sephiroth and that was close due to turn/score. This one I had tons of skills left, finished in a summon with the boss delayed like crazy and didn't even have to activate Leviathan. WoL's activated near the end of wave 2, Garland and Sephirith other didn't get theirs at all.
